Blackwood Reborn: Richardson’s Greywalker Saga is the Crème de la Crème of Supernatural Fiction
“I did warn you things were going to get weird.”
– Seawitch by Kat Richardson
• “Since the release of her debut novel back in 2006, Richardson has… done something very few paranormal fantasy authors have accomplished – she has made the jump to hardcover.” – from my “Year of the Kat: Why Kat Richardson is Paranormal Fantasy's Next Superstar” blog, posted 8/24/009
Seawitch is yet another example of Richardson’s timeless, intelligent, almost hypnotic, writing style. Here is just a taste:
The bottom line is this: Kat Richardson is an extraordinary writer (arguably the next coming of Algernon Blackwood), her heroine Blaine is equal parts Philip Marlowe and John Silence, and her Greywalker saga is classy and classic – the crème de la crème of supernatural fiction.

Algernon Blackwood? I think I'll go die of happiness now, because there is nothing else to aspire to. Thank you, Paul.

Paul,
I loved the book and really thought the book was great even before I read your blog. I agree with everything you said and glad that I convinced my local library to get the books which have gotten a lot of use and not just from me.

Does that mean you agree with my assessment, Kimba?

Great article Paul. Paul I think you captured all the elements in this series. There are so many reasons that these books drew me in. I haven't started the newest book "Seawitch" yet. But I did read the acknowledgements and saw that Paul Goat Allen was mentioned.
