Thanks everyone!

As this club draws to a close, we want to thank Kate Morton for being exceedingly generous with her time in the First Look Book Club and for sharing her mesmerizing novel with us -- we’re thrilled to have met you! We’re grateful to Atria for offering our readers so much to feast on -- from the can’t-put-down arcs to the privilege of helping with the design of the book. Thanks to Karen for her always-skillful moderation!

Thanks to the readers for your participation in First Look. We hope you enjoyed the discussion with Kate Morton -- and with each other. It’s not too late to write your review of the book and or too early to spread the good word about The House at Riverton!

Re: Thanks everyone!

Thank YOU Maria! I so appreciate that B&N provides this service.

I also want to thank Karen for once again being a fantastic facilitator. There were so many people involved in First Look, I imagine that she felt like she was herding cats much of the time. :-)

Karen, your patience and skill serve you well. Thank you for moderating another great discussion.

Thank you Kate,
I really enjoyed reading and discussing "The House at Riverton". I loved the book and enjoyed reading the comments you made not only to me but to everyone else as well. I have told all my friends about the book but will not let them borrow my copy so they will buy it.
I know your book will be a best seller in the states and good luck in the future I'm waiting anxiously until your next book is out.

Thank you Maria, and thanks to Karen for the great moderating again.

I'd like to add my thanks also. This was my first time in an online book club and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Especially getting to talk with the Author.

Re: Thanks everyone!

Kate, BN, Karen and bookclub members,

Thank you all so much for a wonderful experience in literature! It was a privelege not only to receive an arc but to share our thoughts and questions with the author and so many avid readers that enjoy reading a good book and discussing it.

Good luck to you Kate in your future endeavors, I believe Riverton will soon be embraced by the US market! Much success :smileyhappy:

Re: Thanks everyone!

This was a very fun group and so glad that I got to participate. I've signed up for the next first look and happy to see that we're going to have a few more chapters roll out at once, esp. in the beginning when everyone's excited to start discussing.

Re: Thanks everyone!

Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to Maria, Karen, and everyone in the First Look Book Club who joined in the discussions about The House at Riverton. It's been a huge pleasure hearing all your insights and thoughts about the characters and the book itself. Writing is such a solitary activity so having the chance to 'see' my book go into the world, and hear from its new custodians, is a real gift. It's wonderful to know that Riverton has already found its way into so many good homes!
Happy reading!
Kate

To Kate: it's been a true joy to read wonderful writing such as yours. I predict you much success!

To the publisher, artists and editors, of this wonderful novel: The fun was all mine! I'll never forget this experience.

To all at BandN: Thank you for allowing me to participate, a true honor to be here.

To Karen: I second Beth's sentiments, Karen, you are great moderator. You have insights that surpass any I've seen before. I wish you all the best on The Sister and future novels.

And last but not least, thanks to all of the participants......
.....until then,
Kathy S.

I want to thank you, Kate, for this wonderful book. I am so glad it got to come to America. We, in America, love great books also. Your descriptions just set me up for completely visualizing the house. To me, the star of the book, due to your descriptions. It made the characters shine brightly through out the story. Thanks again and hope you join us soon. Linda

Also thanks to Maria and Karen Burns for taking care of our every need and the thoughts that triggered while reading.
