I'm a big fan of Harry Potter, and some of my favorites are Artemis Fowl, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Peter and the Starcatchers, Vampirates, Charlie Bone, The Chronus Chronicles, The Whitby Witches, and I heard Twilight is good, but too inappropriate for younger children.

Well for me it was Inkheart by Cornelia Funke and the Harry Potter series. My new fave is the Twilight Saga though!
