I'll add others another time -- I have several favorites. But, more than any others for beyond toddlers, I am likely to share these two. There are many places and even philosophies where I don't agree with Dr. Ginott, but probably more than any other writer he helped me understand where I might be different than my own parents in some of the ways that were particularly troublesome for me. There are at least a couple of "case studies" in each that can be considered classics that every parent and child must face at one time or another.
