Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

LittleDiva - your post brought this back to the top.  Can you tell us why you like the series?  Do you have a favorite book in the series, a favorite character?

Re: Nancy Drew

For me, I haven't read a Nancy Drew in at least 25 or more years.  There was a summer that I read 4 a day and pretty much covered the entire original series.   After reading so many, they all just sort of blend together.  I'll have to read some of them again and remind myself.

Wow - 4 a day?  Do you read that quickly, or do you think it was a comment on the books at all?  I know we all have more time to read when we're younger, but 4 a day still seems on a fast pace to me!  I wasn't in to those, though, so maybe they read quickly.

They were good, don't get me wrong, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered, but they certainly are formulaic and even at that tender age, I could get the jist pretty quickly.  I can read at a pretty high rate of speed, but it depends on my motivation.  It was what I did, all day, everyday.  I didn't read 4 every day, but I do remember doing that on several occasions.
