Readers who are into horror undoubtedly know who Laird Barron is – he has written two amazing short story collections, The Imago Sequence and Other Stories and Occultation and Other Stories. The latter was so good that I called Barron: "horror’s new messiah." The full review is here:
But The Croning, his debut novel, is so good that it transcends horror – the fusion of folklore and dark fantasy is just brilliant.
Readers looking for a masterfully written and totally unque read should check out this novel!
I'll post my full review in a bit...
Paul
