The Black Prism Book Trailer

All I can say is – wow.

Re: The Black Prism Book Trailer

I think my husband has this book.  I may, for the first time ever, dip into his book pile.

That looks pretty awesome. I'm reading Poisoned Star now. It's a good book, but when I'm done, I might check out this one.

That was awesome! I felt the same excitement watching that as I did when I read the book last summer. I think I may have to read it again now. I can't wait for the next one!

The book is waaaay better than the trailer! I wonder why it took so long to come out? I mean the hardcover came out last year.

IMO, The Black Prism (Lightbringer Series #1) is one of the best fantasies released last year. The characters are unconventional and amusing, the magic is a delight and the plot is full of unpredictable surprises. I highly recommend it.

This is in my husbands TBR pile!  We decided to order the mp3 audiobook for our up coming road trip.  We are going to listen to this and Pale Demon by Kim Harrison.  Is it wrong that one of my favorite things about vacation is the books we listen to on our way?

I had a B&N gift card burning a hole in my pocket, after watching the video and hearing from you all...problem solved !

No, not at all, ours is that during the vacation through out the day we sit or lay down next to each other and read a book that we pick just for that trip and for ourselves.

That is awesome!  We are going hiking and though, I am good at walking and reading, I do not think mountain edges and reading go well together.  :smileywink: Can you imagine the obituary!

I love it when my husband reads to me.  Unfortunately, he falls asleep in about two pages!

Lol yeah!  ( Here lies Madis and her beloved husband, they took a wrong step down went they should have sit down.)  Usually we read to each other but by 3 pages is just me to us.

@dalnewt:

I couldn't agree more!  I just finished The Black Prism today, and while I was reading it, I wanted to snap at everyone who distracted me (work?  dinner?  sleep?  All vastly overrated!).  The next installment, The Blinding Knife, is apparently due out in September.

This was my first introduction to Brent Weeks, and I enjoyed it so much that I spent $19.99 (the most I have ever spent on an eBook) for his Night Angel Trilogy.  That should keep me occupied at least a little bit while I wait for The Blinding Knife to arrive.

SPOILER ALERT:

So, do we think that Kip may really be the child of the original Dazen and Karris?  If Kip is the child of the original Gavin and Lina, will Dazen and Karris's child show up, maybe to carry on the same intrafamilial craziness started by Gavin and Dazen?  What if Dazen and Karris's child is a girl?

OK, so this is all pure speculation at this point, and I know everyone else read The Black Prism more than a year ago, but I can't help wondering about possible plot twists -

Re: The Black Prism Book Trailer

Just FYI, for those who have had this in their wishlist or TBR list and still haven't gotten it... It is now on sale for $2.99.  Yea (Many Thanks to KirstyHaining for posting this in the Nook Book Discussion)
