Happy Weekend everyone!

Having lots of fun typing with a broken "R".  It wobbles and bounces.  Lol  Keep trying to think of words that don't use the letter "R".  I now truly understand the rolling "r" of Spanish "rrrrrrrrrrrrrr".

Blessings for the Day

May the dew drops of the morning

Water the flowers of your day

May the sunshine of the noontide

Brighten the path along your way.

May the cool breeze of the eventide

Bring refreshment to your life.

May the startlight of the velvet night

Find the end of your day without strife.

Re: Deb's Coffee Klatch-Off Topic Chat

What a beautiful blessing, Muse!  (You're now excused for your "spoiled" comment on the Week 2 Bereft thread. :smileylol:)

And Deb, thank you for cleaning up the board.  You said that you would be "away" yesterday, so I was waiting until today to shoot you a PM about suspect postings on the board.  Today, it seems to be taken care of already.  I assume you did that(?).

And I can't resist asking . . .

So who do ya'll like in the Derby?

Re: Deb's Coffee Klatch-Off Topic Chat

We just stopped by the house to check mail etc....but have had a blast in the "rain" watching a civil war re-enactment....lots of pictures and lots of fun in the mud.

Have a great rest of the weekend.

Re: Deb's Coffee Klatch-Off Topic Chat

Happy Sunday all

whiteginger, yes I used my immense power to cleave the board of riff-raff. I actually felt bad about it and first attempted to just change the message because we have a lot of self-pubbed etc.. authors here, but in the end I realized it would not work and swiftly weiled my all might sword :cathappy:

Muse, paleese you were forgiven before the error was made, in fact even before that. Now worry about other things like getting ready for A Summer in Europe tomorrow, I'm just now opening the book to re-read and see what questions will come to my befuddled brain.

Everyone have a great day

Happy Sunday, all.  And I hope your horse was in the money yesterday at the Derby!

Isn't the magic of reading a wonderful thing?  Tomorrow, courtesy of literature and in the company of friends here at Fiction General Discussion, I will travel to Europe and Australia--at the same time!  See you tomorrow.

*Guys, I love to be silly and to laugh--at myself and with others.  If any of my comments on the board to any of you sound smug or angry or accusatory, please know that they are certainly not meant that way.  (Muse, I've sent you a PM)

whiteginger we know this, and I am always guilty of second guessing myself when it comes to posting comments, ideas etc... because my peeps here are not directly across the table from me to see my smile, facial expresions whatever. But I knew you were kidding and I know Muse did too.

Okay guys....I've learned my lesson about posting and running.  Lol  I left a kettle of stew in my wake because I wasn't here to respond, as I posted and ran away for two day, back to the mountains for the last two days of camping and civil war battles.  There I was taking pictures, getting wet, and general having a soaking wet time.

Love you guys!!!  But my feelings were soooo upset, I didn't think about it at all while I was wallering in the mud.  I'll post some pics and send you a link.  We had a blast...unfortunately for the battle, it was too dangerous for the charge up the steep hill and the chase down the hill....so the battle was cut short....then re-assembled to pick-up like everything had already happened and continue....by then we had given up (soaked and cold).  But did come up with some great pics...just not quite as clear because I was shooting a pretty good distance through the rain.

Any way.... as far as I am concerned the old subject is closed and forgotten....:smileyvery-happy:

Here's a link to a video (short) of the Battle of McDowell Re-enactment.

Hope you enjoy.  We never actually got to see the Confederate side (they never came down from the trees on top of the hill).  So the best you ever see of them is the silhouettes in the trees.

Happy Tuesday everyone!!

We're out the door and on our way to DC to pick up daughter for a week's visit.  This would be one happy Momma

Enjoy your visit Muse - sounds like fun !  We are off on Thursday for Florida - We are going to be looking at houses in 2 different areas around Orlando. Won't be on the computer much, so maybe those "gremlins"
will be finished with their mischief by the time I get back. I hope all you Mother's (and daughters) have a wonderful Mothers Day...

Have a safe trip Anne, my hubby and I are thinking of moving to Fl too.

Lots of authors live in the great state one of our own Julie Compton lives down there.
