Green Lantern First Flight review I'm doing something a bit different for you this is a movie not a graphic novel but since its a comic book theme movie I am placing it here. Starring Christopher Meloni voicing Hal Jordan. Meloni is one of the stars from law and order svu. Hal Jordan is chosen by dying Green Lantern, Abin Sur as his replacement. A pick the Green Lantern Corp isn't fond of. Sinestro takes Hal Jordan under his wing but, his motive isn't just. He plans to use Hal as his fall guy. It nearly works as well. Sinestro uses a new yellow ring to try to destroy the Corp but Hal has other ideas as he proves he is worthy to be a Green Lantern. Green Lantern No Fear review This is my first nookbook DC graphic novel review. I did repost Batman R.I.P cause it is available for nook but I reviewed it before it was. I picked this title cause many of the titles are 9.99 or higher right now and this one is 7.99. Don't fear friends though the prices will drop over time. On to the review, Hal Jordan the first Earthling Green Lantern teams with other Lanterns Kyle Rainer, and John Stewart to fight manhunter robots, mutant shark men and a villain known as Black Hand. The only earth green lantern not to appear is Guy Gardener, though not a Guy fan I would had liked to see all of them together. New Avengers the Trust review The team is still divided by civil war. The new avengers are Dr. Strange, Spiderman(btw in his black costume which is cool), spiderwoman, wolverine, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Ronin but evidence shows there is a traitor among them. It isn't revealed who but my money is on Ronin. Mercenaries only are truly loyal to one thing if you get my meaning. Anyways back on track on review, the team has to take on alien parasites similar to venom and carnage. The villain the Hood is introduced as well. The Hood is agile and brutal killer with an ego he claims to be best but he runs into "the best at what I do" and finds that he doesn't measure up to real best Wolverine. Batman Arkham Asylum review I love Grant Morrison graphic novels and like others of his work, this one has an engaging storytelling. Like the video game that was based off this story it takes Batman to Arkham. Arkham Asylum is the mental hospital for the criminal insane. The story gives a look into the mind of one of the most evil and twisted comic villains the Joker. He takes advantage of getting Batman trapped within the prison walls. He turns to villains that are experts in hallucinations, such as Scarecrow, the Mad Hatter and the Riddler. All-Star Superman review What would you do if you were told you were going to die soon? The answer probably wouldn't be save the world and defeat an evil super genius. In the beginning Superman saves the space station from a massive solar flair. Now as you may know Superman's powers are driven by our yellow sun but even his body has a limit of how much solar radiation it can adsorb. Superman is told that his body is breaking down. To ensure that the world is still protected after he becomes he gets a formula that gives super powers to normal humans. His choice being his life long lover Lois Lane however, his greatest nemesis Lex Luthor gets the formula and makes him super. I've gotten a little busy this week but as I announced on facebook this is Grant Morrison week for my graphic novel thread. I've reviewed two of his masterpieces already this week. These reviews are older and are being reposted for this special theme week to me. I don't know if I will get all of the other Morrison content I have reviewed by end of this week but I will try my friends New Xmen reviews I reviewed volume one and two on another thread but I think for your benefit I will do a complete review of all three together on this thread. I know that the forum going to take my spaces out like usual so I will use dashes to start each review to try to help. Volume one--The Xmen featured in this volume are Cyclops, Jean Grey, Emma Frost, Beast, Wolverine, and Xavier. After a diaster that has killed off a third of all the mutant race, the xmen are under attack by Xavier's evil twin sister Cassandra Nova who puts him into a coma attacking his mind.-- Volume two--The same characters from volume one and addition of a newer xman called Angel which is confusing cause there's another Angel who also been a xman. This Angel is a girl who also spits acid. The other is a guy who looks more like an angel then her, I think her wings look more fairy like instead of angelic. Oh well, back on track, the U--Men who humans that steal mutant DNA samples to give themselves power, they attack the x-men and capture Cyclops and Emma Frost but they take Emma lightly and she rescues Cyclops as they were focusing on him. They also learn that to cure Xavier's coma they have to catch Nova.-- Volume Three--The alien race, the Shi'ar, who have a long relationship with the xmen are attacked by Nova. The xmen use the opportunity to team with them to capture Nova and save their beloved mentor. In this volume, Emma's students the Stepford sisters join the rest of the cast. They are identical triplet sisters who possess telepathic powers but because of their triplet connection they can link their powers making them as an unit a very powerful force. Batman Year One review As the title suggests this is the story of the first year of Batman's career. The story though is told in Jim Gordon's pov. The new police officer brings honest ideals to a dirty police department. As a dark figure begins to hunt scum at night, Gordon investigates what's been called the bat but, when the dirty cops target Gordon's pregnant wife, he receives help from the vigilant which changes his opinion of Batman. Year one ends with Gordon beginning to make a difference to lead to a clean and ideal police department and has begun a relationship with Batman as he turns to him for help with a new criminal. Batman return of Bruce Wayne review Now before I begin I'd like to point out Batman year one is by Frank Miller. I'm continuing my tribute to Grant Morrison with this issue, Batman has been sent back in time and in each period he creates himself with an era spin. Such as in stone age his cloak is made of a fur skin he killed and used some stone weaponry. In later time he takes up a rapier and kinda reminds me of Zorro. He takes on pirates in one period. Batman the Black Glove review By now, you know I have some comic writers I favor over others. Grant Morrison is definately one of those. In the Black Glove, Batman and Robin visit a party of heroes which based their images on their idols the Dynamic Duo but soon after members at the party begin to be killed. Star Trek Next Gen./Doctor Who #1 Who would Picard turn to for help? Probably wouldn't guess The Doctor and I don't mean the hologram from Voyager. When the Borg team with an enemy from Who's world, the Trek universe needs help from the time lord. Secret Invasion review The Skrull are an evil alien race that have shapeshifting power. The Skrull have made copies of really heroes and heroines that have pretended to be human for years, getting trust and access in Earth's most vital securities. Now they are revealing themselves and its up to the Avengers, Shield, and even usual villains who see that a Skrull controlled world isn't good for their own evil doing. Most interesting action when the really heroes have to.face a Skrull copy of themselves. Such as the really Wolverine verus a copy. Batman Heart of Hush review Dr Timothy Elliot was a childhood rival of Bruce Wayne. Elliot's medical career was ruined by Wayne when he was discovered to be a crooked doctor. With his career ruined he becomes a serial killer called Hush hence the title name. He sets out to attack Wayne but he's stopped by Batman which he then vowes to kill Batman which is the irony of they are one and the same person. New Avengers Volume 8  This is the first book of a two part series ,by the way i will review book two as well .  Luke Cage believes Iron Man ia Skrull shapeshifter but Tony denies it . Echo is attacked by a Skrull shapeshifter but Wolverine saves her . We also learn the background of the Skrull invasion .  Their world was attacked by Galaticus .  The Fantasic Four tried to help but failed and the Skrull want revenge .

Sony UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves - GAME OF THE YEAR EDITION  

One of the bonuses from the GOY Edition is a digital  graphic novel that be read and watched on PS3.  The novel has four issues that tell a prequel story .  Nathan Drake is hired to find the Eye Of Indria .  An amulet of great value .  He discovers that the Eye is inside a statue owned by an enemy .  He plans to steal it but gets captured.  I won't ruin the escape but will say if you're familiar with Drake it is totally his style of escape .

Tiny Titans  

Usually i review serious action graphic novel but this one is lighthearted and humorous .  In the first story the Titans washing their costumes but Supergirl puts her red cape in and causes everything to turn pink .  In the second story there is a race between Kid Flash, Interia, and causes trouble everywhere they run .  Third story is about the Kroc invades their school and causes trouble everywhere he goes .  Fourth story is about Bizarro meets Bizarro Girl which he falls in love with but she is not interested In him.  Last story is about the Titans wants new uniforms that look like the Justice League but each attempt only results in looking more childish outfits

Batman and Robin, Volume 1  

i make it no secret i like Grant Morrison graphic novels.  This is det afrer the death of Bruce Wayne.  Dick Grayson the original Robin and later Nightwing has assumed the role of Batman .  This angers Damien the son of Bruce Wayne cause he believes he should had been Batman.  Alfred and Dick Grayson agree he is too young but can make a great Robin.  This new duo are tested right away by Batman's most evil nemesis the Joker.  Joker knows Batman so well that he can tell this isn't the same Batman
