Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. On May 1, we’re saying goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

My Book

I am an Author! I have been very, very successful at B&N stores throughout Mo, Ks, Ok. The

Chains of St. Peter (ISBN # 9781606966976) hit the streets July 09 and to this date I have sold

over 1300 books. The problem is: B&N will not stock enough of my books, for so many of my

friends across the U S have tried to purchase the book but told they must order it.

Subsequently they order it from me and bypass the stores.  Here is the kicker: I average 23

books per store at a signing which is much above average for 99% of Authors. I have been

told that even well know Authors do not sell that many books at a sitting.  Come on B&N put

more of my books on your shelves they are guaranteed sales by the Publisher

and myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ask your friends to online order from B&N, not from you.  It's cheaper than walking into the store and buying it off the shelf, anyway.  This board really isn't the place to sell B&N on stocking your book on their shelves.  We're a discussion board.

I haven't checked to see what the genre of your book is, or how much it is, or who you are (your name).  If you want to promote your book, you might want to give a little more information, first.  The writing board has a thread for published authors, or the Community Board, which is read by everyone.  And BTW, you might want to cut down on the usage of the exclamation marks....it's unimpressive  :smileyhappy:

Good Luck.

p.s.  I just looked on the B&N order page, and they only have this book used.  Well, that's not good.  This genre is pretty specific, too.  I honestly don't know what to say to this, except I wish you well.
