**My Mission Statement**

All I ask is that we remember that this is for fun and some people don't navigate the board with as much finesse as others, don't understand the specific configurations and will be hurt when it's pointed out. As a matter of fact I don't understand everything and probably never will.

So we all have to be aware of each other and be kind to each other when pointing things out. We are here to share with each other and make each other shine and make each other feel welcome. To make our guest authors feel welcome as they are giving up their time to be here and share their "children" with us.

My goal is to make this board grow and make people talk about what fun they have here, to invite more people to join in and be a bigger community then we are now, we're not here to educate but to share our feelings and insights on how we feel about the reads we're doing as a group and individually. My hope is to make great new friends here and continue in the fellowship of my tried and true.

I Already have picked out the reads for August (of course), September and October where we will have authors willing and excited to participate. But don't think that will always be the case because I want everyone to feel that they have an ownership here and so we'll vote on some reads to.

So let's have fun!!!

And pull out those Nooks, and books and READ!!!

Your Mission Statement says exactly how I feel about the discussions here. I am here to enjoy myself and talk about books (and other things) with people who are enjoying their experience here. We all have things to learn and we all have things to share. My comments may not be right, well written, make sense, have typos, etc. But they are written from my heart.  So I appreciate that others take the time to read them.

I have the book for August coming next week.  And I will be checking out your other selections. Congratulations on your new baby here.

Yes, my new 'mom', and friend.    Well, and beautifully said.  I will do my best to honor these wishes.  I stated my desires, only as a matter or record, and in the same breath, I do realize we all have different expectations when reading and discussing books...but the main thing, as you said, is to enjoy ourselves in this process.  Please have patience with me, as well.  I'll do my very best to not take my eyes off of this 'Mission Statement'.  I will print it out, and have it in front of me at all times...and read it daily....I promise!

We all have gifts to share...., and the fact that we can all gather together, here,  with this common love of stories..and this wonderful opportunity to find  these insights hidden within, becomes a beautiful and expanding reward.

And it's an added joy to have an author who does care for their novel as if it were a child to them - we should be gentle and caring, loving it as if it were our own.    I'm looking forward with excited anticipation....  And, mom?  I know we will have fun!  You've got a good group of followers, and more coming in each day.  With your kindness, winning smile, and attentiveness, I know it will be the best board in town!    Thank you for this opportunity, I couldn't ask for a better step-mom!
