I know absolutely nothing about this book but the cover was pretty, the font was a decent size for my old eyes, and best of all--it was FREE!

Deb,

I read the synopsis for this book and it holds promise.  I look forward to seeing what Laura has to say this week.

A really good book is much like an artichoke. As you peel back each page of the of the book, you get closer and closer to the succulent heart of the story.

Muse, thanks for the post. The best thing about this series apart from the amazing storytelling is that you can read each one as a stand-alone too. Although reading in order gives you the indepth chronolgy of the series reading one out of order or even starting here and going back doesn't harm the read at all.

So I finished Chruchill's Secretary yesterday, and picked up the sequel Princess Elizabeths Spy and finished it yesterday as well.  The I bought Naughty in Nice by Rhys Bowen today, and already finished it.  I'm on a roll.

Re: Weekend Reading

So here's what's on my plate this weekend

First I have a review due to LibraryThing, it's not fiction but it's so charming. And when I'm finished reading it I'm going to get an address of a very special friend of mine and send it to her. Once you see the book she'll know who she is. Merry Christmas Mrs. Claus

Being Santa Claus

Then I'll be reading my New Release feature, be sure and stop by on Tuesday to see this really witty author's chat with me.

Happily Ever Madder

Then I really want to read JT Ellison's upcoming novel, hopefully I can get to it

Edge of Black

Then of course I'll be re-reading our November feature section so I can pick all your brains

The Dog Who Danced

that's whats on my reading plate, what's on yours

For the life of me, I couldn't get into Shine so I picked up this one instead. I'm not a murder mystery reader but I'm finding the cultural aspects of this one very fascinating.
