Video Game review

Tales of Graces F review I don't know where to post this so I'm posting it here and if it has to be moved, I'm cool with it. This is a PS3 rpg by Namco. The Tales of series has had a long line of rpgs each in it's own world with it's own independent history and cultures. Characters Asbel-- The main hero is an aspiring knight who feels guilty for the lost of a friend he failed to protect while a child. Asbel like many main characters has a heart of gold and a fierce determination in the fight against evil. Hubert-- Asbel's younger brother. He's a bit of a nerd but his time in the miliary has made him a capable fighter. He uses dualblades imagine Darth Marul's double lightsaber in star wars. Cheria-- She's the healer of the game. She loves Asbel but she's too shy to voice it. It's funny cause everyone knows she loves him but Asbel who a bit blind to it I guess. Cheria as her name kinda suggests is usually cheerful. She likes to use her healing powers to help people. Sophie-- She's a bit complex to explain but I'll do my best. She's an Android but she doesn't know it. She is very advanced technology, not only looking human but also possesses emotions. Sophie was built to kill a great evil but, her memory banks are damaged and she doesn't remember her mission. Pascal-- My personal favorite, she's a young mage who is also a member of scientists tribe called the Amaricians. She's a hoot and one of a kind. She talks a bit funny too. Captain Malik-- Malik is Asbel's teacher. he's kinda a hybrid character of both magic and attack skills. He's very wise and provides the younger heroes a great mentor. Richard-- The villain but it's complex though. Richard is a good person but he's been possessed by a demon that making him do bad things. This game got about a hundred hours of play and it's so fun it definitely has replay value.

Re: Video Game review

White Knight Chronicles one review This title is on Ps3 and has been out for a few years which has made the price lower. Gamestop sells it at 14.95 which is a nice bargin. The story is about these evil guys kidnap a princess and the heroes journey to rescue her. The characters--Leonard the main hero, he's a young man who made a pact with magical armor that is giant size called the white knight hence the title. He can become the knight which grants him great power which is helpful against boss fights. Yulie--Yulie is a childhood friend of Leonard and she loves him but he seems blind to it also he seems more interested in the princess as well. Yulie has a sweet personality. Eldore--He's an older character who has traveled many years and provides wisdom and guidance to the younger members. Kira--Kira is a woman who has a ton of attitude. She's got a major temper about her and there's a secret about her but not to spoil the game I won't tell you what? Caesar-- He is another knight pacemaker that joins the team, he has a very laid back personality. He also possesses a power that allowes him to read people but more in the sense of empathy rather then telepathy. Created Character--There's no real personality to this character to profile but the game does feature making your own character which is cool. One of the fun things about this game is how you can customize each character in how you want them to play. Pick their weapon, short swords, bow, magic staff, long sword, spear, or the ax, also you can make your own combo moves using attacks learned through your desired weapon. The game kinda short but has replay value.

Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike

Tales of Vesperia first strike preview You probably wondering why I'm doing a DVD preview on video game review thread, well the reason is simple this movie is based on a video game. Judging by the cover and title I believe this is the game's prequel story. Now a bit of the tales of vesperia storyline is that there was a great war before the game plot which I'm guessing that this movie is the story of the great war that happened before the plot, this DVD is slanted to be released later this month and I will review it later when it comes out. Let me know if you like a review of the game as well?

Re: Video Game review

Tales of Vesperia review I'm going to do something different on this rpg review instead of the character profiles, vesperia has quite a few of factions in its story I'll profile those instead. This game is a x box 360 game and ps3 in Japan and is eventually will come to America for ps3. Factions--Brave Vesperia are the heroes of the game. Yuri Lowell formed the group cause he is tired of the corruption in government, Brave Vesperia is basically the "Justice League" of their world. -- The Hunting Blades as the name suggests they hunt big monsters, they threw out Karol Capel from their group who becomes one of the Brave Vesperia heroes. --The Imperial Knights are more like police then traditional knights but they do wear traditional armor though. They are very corrupt which is why Yuri Lowell a former member left the knights and formed his own team. I do want to point out not all the knights are corrupt but it's like the saying it only takes one bad apple to ruin the bunch. --Leviathan's Claw is the mafia of the game. They kinda hard to grasp at times cause they help the heroes out and other times they are a throne in their sides. They sell illegal weapons and technology through their black market. --The Aspio Academy of Research, a group of scholars that specialize in blastia technology. Blastias are an energy source that can do many things from allowing people to use magic powers, give towns protective barriers, and many other great things. Rita Mordio was one of their youngest and also brightest researchers but she also joins the ranks of Brave Vesperia. --The Blood Alliance are assassins who want to kill a honorable knight Flynn Scifo and Brave Vesperia's leader Yuri Lowell. Their most notable killer is Zagi who attacks the heroes several times during the story.

Re: Video Game review

Spider-Man Edge of Time ps3 review There are many versions of Spider-Man and in most cases they are Peter Parker in some form but not all cases. Miguel O'Hara is the future time period Spider-Man who appears in Spider-Man 2099 series. He and Parker are playable in this game. In this game an evil businessman named Walker Sloan changes history to make himself very powerful, O'Hara tried to stop him but was late but because he was caught in the time loop he has the opportunity to change history back but he needs help from Peter Parker. O'Hara and Parker each have their own movesets unique to each guy. Each Spider-Man has many costumes to unlock. For a treat I'm including some cheat codes, The Future Foundation costume for Parker, at the main menu do the following sequence with your controller, Up, Down, Left, Up, Down, Left, Right, Left...Now just to point out you have to be quick inputting it. That costume was when Spiderman was teaming with the Fantasic Four. O'Hara's Big Time Suit, Right, Down(twice), Up, Left, Down(twice), Right...As I said before the code needs to be inputted quickly.

Re: Video Game review

The Uncharted Trilogy review Uncharted has won two game of the years, and nomineed for a third, I thought they should had won the third game of the year but oh well. Uncharted could be renamed the adventures of Nathan Drake who is the star character of the series. Drake is a treasure hunter who has a loveable personality, with his witty wisecracking humor and his honorable code he's a hero that all fans love. Nathan Drake has explored three mythical places in his adventures. In uncharted he finds the legendary city of gold, El Dorado. Not only do we meet Drake but also meet his mentor/partner Victor "Sully" Sullivan and his eventual girlfriend Elena Fisher. In uncharted 2 Drake finds Shangri La the legendary Tibet paradise. The original roster returned with addition of Chloe Frazer an ex-girlfriend to create a love triangle between Drake, Elena and herself, also joining the mix is a rival treasure hunter Harry Flynn who out for the same treasure. In uncharted 3 we dive into the mysterious past of our hero. At points you are younger Drake seeing how his life as a treasure hunter begins. He finds Atlantis this time. Naughty Dog the makers of uncharted always said it was going to be a trilogy but they also make Ratchet and Clank and said it was a trilogy now there's at six of that one so I think they probably aren't done with Mr. Drake's adventures

Favorite list one, tales of series

I enjoyed doing my comic book hero list so now doing my game character list. Hope you like it I'm starting with the Tales of series for this list. Looking at my thread you can tell by other posts I like this series and one of the main reasons each tales game has great rosters of characters. Graces Pascal, Cheria, and Malik Ah bananas how to start this one so it's not all wonky wonk lol. That's how Pascal talks and that's why I love her she's so funny. Cheria is the classic girl next door archetype and I love her personality cause I see a bit of me in her. Captain Malik is that classic older hero mentor that reminds you of a father figure. Abyss I know I haven't reviewed this older tales game but it was one of the first of series. Tear, Guy, Jade Tear is the classic shy girl that at first you think it's rudeness but after you get to know her she find a sweetheart underneath. Guy is the classic true friend archetype. When everyone else has lost faith in Luke the main hero, he reminds loyal. The type of friend you really need. Jade He's the serious type that can mentor but he really doesn't want to. He prefers to let Luke fall on his face to teach him unlike Malik who never hesitates to share his experience. Vesperia Yuri, Estelle,Rita Yuri is the main hero of this game. I usually hate the main hero cause they are complete idiots but, that's not the case with Yuri. He's not a genius IQ but he doesn't have that annoying I am complete brainless guy either. Estelle Estelle is similar to Cheria as I mentioned earlier. Another reason I connect with her though is she's a young lady trying to find her place in life which is something everyone can relate with. Rita Rita is a spitfire. She's a young mage with an attitude to boot. Symphonia Kratos(not the God of war guy) Kratos in Symphonia is pronounce Kra-tos, God of War guy same name it's pronounce Crate-os, anyways I love the man of mystery. He starts as your friend then he betrays you, but then he strangely starts helping you again which keeps you guessing. Phantasm The game that started it all Chester, Arche, Mint Chester is a young archer who has a heart of gold. Don't mess with his friends and don't mess with his younger sister either. Arche is a witch who rides on a broom and she flies ok but her landings need work lol. Mint She's another girl next door type. She is a small girl but has a strong will. She's sweet and a joy to be around. She's also Chester's sister.

Video game review

Iron Man 2 review I recently pick up this game and being it's been out for awhile it's now bargin price I got it for under 20 dollars. Now even though this game was made for the movie of same name it doesn't use the movie's plot. Set sometime after the end of the movie Iron Man and War Machine team up to take on some of Iron Man's iconic enemies. Crimson Domino who is basically a Russian Iron Man, Ultimo a robot that uses Stark tech and is programmed to kill him as well. The actors voice acted themselves and the game figures look like their on screen versions. You can play as Iron Man who has many Iron Man armors to unlock but also you can play as War Machine who has a different set of weapons. Tony can upgrade their weapons, ammo and combat systems with experience points earned through missions. This is one of the few exceptions to the usual rule of movie based games are bad. This one is good.

DC Universe Online review

DC universe online review Have you ever wanted to be a superhero? Do you own a PC or Ps3? If you answered yes to the following questions you can become a hero for free to boot. If you have Ps3 you can on PsN and download this game for free. If PC gamer you can download it from dcuniverseonline.com again I stress free. Now on to the game itself when you first start the game you create a character, there are many templates of real DC heroes you can use or you can make an unique look all your own. You also pick combat styles and super powers. Then you decide are you good or evil. If you're good you will be mentored by DC icons like Superman and Batman. If you go villain your mentors be likes of the Joker and Lex Luthor. Now graphically this game doesn't look the greatest but MMORPGs aren't known for graphics.

favorite list final fantasy

Favorite list final fantasy Final Fantasy has been a gaming legend for a long time. Now before I begin I do want to say I think final fantasy fans are sometimes insane with their belief final fantasy is only rpg that matters but even the Tales of fandom in me has to respect this franchise's legacy. VII Final fantasy vii is still considered by many as the greatest game ever and was one of the very first video games I ever played. Cloud Strife is a legendary character that many characters have been based off later on, another character that's often copied by other games is the villain Sephiroth who is considered still one of gaming history greatest villains. Viii Eight had a bit of backlash after the success of seven but not from a lack of great characters. First the guy Squill, I loved him. He was different from Cloud who sorta lacks a soft side or better can't express it well. Seifer was a great rival for Squill. X Yes I know I skipped nine, I don't even remember nine which says a lot about the game really. Ten is my favorite final fantasy not seven. Yuna, Tidus, Wakka, Lulu, Rikku, Auron and Kimarhi I love the whole cast. I know a big reason I fell in love with this one so much was this was the first final fantasy with voiceovers. Which does help connect you with the characters more when you hear them say dialogue instead of reading it. But also I loved how this game made each character valuable. Yuna your healer/summoner, Lulu your mage who certain enemies have to be defeated with her spells, Wakka with his ball that he threw kinda like throwing a dodgeball he was needed to hit flying enemies, Tidus your speedy and agile swordsman could hit quicker enemies such as wolves and lizards but not as effective against bigger monsters. Auron the other swordsman had an armor piercing ability that hurt bigger things like dragons but his slower relaxes made him have trouble hitting what Tidus does. Rikku didn't really have a specialize enemy but she could steal items and combine items to make strong new attacks, she was awesome. Kimahri was like the "rogue" of this game, he could steal powers from bad guys and use them.as his own. Xii I loved twelve not as much ten but I did love it. The character I loved from this one was Balthier who had this charm about him. Now in twelve you could custom each character however you wanted but I kept Balthier with hunting rifles not only cause he started with one but it just fit his look. He was so stylish with his attire I couldn't see him using a sword or any other blade weapon and get covered in blood. Xiii I really wasn't a big fan of xiii but there was nice characters though. Shaz I loved him big time. Though not voiced by Eddie Murphy his voice sounds like Eddie. He's also a funny character that makes you laugh. Lightning the hard nose girl warrior. She's a tough girl with a fierce temper. Snowe the first thing I noticed about him was the voice. He has the same voice of Yuri Lowell one of my favorite Tales of heroes. He's a hero that never gives up. His positive outlook rubs Lightning who is always grumpy even more mad if that's possible.

Tales of Vesperia first strike review

Tales of Vesperia First Strike review Before getting into the review I found a trailer video on youtube to share with you. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lhVv6M2LAAM Set before the video game's plot, Yuri Lowell who is the one with long black hair on cover has recently joinned the knights along with his friend Flynn Scifo who is the blonde guy on the cover. Like the game, the introduction is narratived by Estelle. Who in the game becomes Yuri's girlfriend. Featuring the same voice stars of the game which I thought was one of the reasons the game did great was the quality of the cast. Which is a Tales of usual that they cast great voice actors for their games. Yuri's tendency to not always follow orders does give himself trouble. Flynn is more an authority follower even though he doesn't always agree which causes many arguments between him and Yuri but they both respect each other as well. The prequel also foreshadows Alexei who is the leader of the knights, great betrayal in the game. Also shows forbidden weapons that led to at great war. They show a younger Repeade as a puppy. Which is cute. They foreshadow that Aer causes major problems. Aer by the way is the world's life force. The crystal technology they use called blastia is powered by aer. Rita Mordio and Raven make cameo appearances as well. I enjoyed this movie a ton. http://video.barnesandnoble.com/DVD/Tales-of-Vesperia-The-First-Strike/e/704400090813/?itm=1&USRI=ta...

Tales of the Abyss 3ds review

Tales of the Abyss 3ds review Abyss is one of the Tales of series' early games. It was originally was released on Ps2 about a decade ago and now has remade for the 3ds handheld console. The Ps2 version introduced me to this great series and I have loved every game since. I think it might be easiest for this review to use character profiles. Luke--I will be totally honest, I hate the main character. Luke has a bad attitude and has trouble accepting blame or guilt. He does mature over the time of story at least. Tear--Tear is one of my favorite tales of characters and was featured in my favorite tales of list. Tear is a seventh fonist. Fonic arts are how people do magic in the game. There is seven types of them and seventh is sound. Tear sings her spells. I recommend head phones when playing to hear her pretty spells clearly. Jade--Another Abyssinian character that was on my favorite list. Jade is a master fonist that can do all forms but the seventh. It is learned along the way the seventh is very rare. Jade is a military officer and brings leadership to the party. Guy--Guy is Luke's loyal friend. Guy and Luke both use swords but they have different styles. Guy doesn't use a shield at all which is the difference. Ansie--A young girl who has a magic stuffed animal that grows to big size during battle and she rides it as it attacks enemies. Natalya--She's an Archer who also has some spells as well. She is a beloved princess who does charity work for her citizens. Kind of reminds me of Princess Diana who did much of goodwill in her life. Ashe--Luke is a clone of this man. Ashe is a bitter man, he believes his life has no meaning cause Luke replaced him but, as Guy said to Luke at some point, Ashe is Ashe and Luke is Luke. Despite looking the same they are not the same. I know a bit of a spoiler coming but I have to include it in his profile. In the beginning, he is an enemy, at the end he becomes a hero as he makes peace with Luke. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002I08WVY/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1341097005&sr=8-1

Batman Arkham Asylum

Batman Arkman Asylum review This is the first of the arkham games, and I thought the first game was better then sequel. The game begins with the capturing of the Joker. Batman brings him to Arkham but soon after, Joker gets out of his restraints. You go inside Arkham, but as soon as you do Joker has full control of the island prison. Batman must tackle the likes of Harley Quinn, Bane, Killer Croc, Poison Ivy and a few hundred riddles. The riddler has placed riddles all over the island which I love solving them all. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003C1I06U/ref=aw_ls__2?colid=1K1KCGXXH4T7L&coliid=I3VIUMKAAZLDVA&vs=1

DC Universe Online indepth look

Its been about a month since i told you all about this free game .  This game starts with creating a character which can be a complete custom one or use a template of heroes and villains toc  choose from.  The game starts the same for heroes and villains with having escaping from Brainiac.  After that they take different roads .  For example my heroine called Justice Emerald is in Gotham City helping Batman .  Meanwhile my villainess Booster Mystic is in Metropolis helping Cires .  I have a drawing of my heroine but had trouble uploading it.  I will try uploading it in a seperate post
