Kimba88,
I am loving the book, too. But when we finally read the note, and all of us wanted the message to be a message from Sarah. The way it read, it easily could have been. But when I stopped and thought about it for a minute, ....Hmmmmmm. No, I think it was a plea for help from those three girls. We have been waiting for someone like you to come along and save us. Please help us!
That same message came from Sadie, she claimed that note was from her. Remember she found and read it. And of course, in his state of mind, Quinn thought it was from his sister Sarah....at first.
I guess the real question and a great point (Great job here, Chris) is how many young girls out there have a note in hand, just waiting to pass it off to someone with the same message. How many are just waiting for that "Knight in Shining Armor"....I guess old images of the mind and heart die hard and are hard to let go of when we are desparate for help.

I'm glad you enjoyed the novel

Deb (and everyone), I think --I HOPE--Muse was just kidding with me. I was MOST CERTAINLY just kidding with her about being ahead. (I actually like a few little hints/spoilers every now and then as I read!
) I do apologize if my spoiled/unspoiled comments have seemed anything other than the humorous interaction they were meant to be WhiteGinger

I know she knew that, but knowing Muse she still felt bad just like any of us would. No worries whiteginger the comment was not taken badly so please don't feel bad yourself.

Ginger,
Debbie has it right. Embarassed? Yes, big time. Hurt feelings? Are you kidding? Lol Just got caught with my drawers showing. I think we all know each other too well and respect each other too much to put poison on those darts we fling.
(You and I have a little melarama in us anyway Lol).
So...to the final section to really duke it out. See you there my friends.

Sorry I'm late, but I have been having problems logging into the site again.
1. Sadie Fox is introduced to us and we learn a great deal about her
Thoughts on Sadie
At this point in the game, I really enjoyed her.
2. How relevant is the fact that Sadie is the same age as when Sarah was murdered
or is it
It allows Quinn the opportunity to correct the mistakes of the past. He is being given a second chance, maybe, to protect his sister
3. Trust between Quinn and Sadie is slow to develop and is at most tenuous
Do you like the way the author treats this relationship
The trust has to build slowly. Both of them have been through a lot, so it's not realisitc for them to form sort of of instant unbreakable trust.

EVERYTHING Muse said!
Two other points from Part II I've been pondering--
- The note "from Sarah" passed surepticiously to Quinn after the seance in London
- The other boy/man Quinn saw with Robert at Sarah's murder (possibly Quinn's older brother?!?)
Ah ha! Another man. I wonder who that could be...?

Hi Everyone - Sorry I've been MIA - I've also had trouble posting and then just sort of gave up trying to post, but I read everyone's posts - WOW - What fun it's been ! I loved the book the first time I read it, I REALLY loved it the second time and now the insight that I have gained from all your comments - remarkable ! I almost wish that each time I read a book, we could all read it at the same time !! And to have Chris here to add to it is such a gift ! Thanks everyone...
