I just started James Patterson's--8th Confession. I enjoy him because he's what I call an easy read. I can start & stop him during office breaks and lunch. Since his chapters are so small, I find myself saying "just one more" and before I know it I have stayed up much later than I should have.
Next is Kristin Hannah's True Colors. I have enjoyed her other books.
Has anyone read True Colors and what did you think?

I am reading Encounter at North Road House. What happens when a brutal masked-psycho enters a house looking for another victim, but this house happens to be haunted by vicious ghosts, no one lives there, and the plan backfires?

Oh I love Kristin Hannah too. And True Colors was a great read, I love sister drama novels.
The only one I couldn't read was Firefly Lane , my husband was undergoing cancer treatment at the time and so only Happy ever ending books were allowed during that time. But I really enjoyed her latest also Winter Garden which is also a sister drama.
And along the lines of Mr. Patterson, you should try Andrew Gross, he use to co-write many books with him and now he's a thriller author in his own right and you can also call him an easy read as some of his chapters are only two pages long so easy to stop and start and I really enjoy his writing.

True Colors is my absolute favorite by Kristin Hannah. I have read almost every single book she wrote, and that is the one I always wanted to re-read. It has a great story line between sisters and family. Good choice!

Hi Everyone,
I am also looking for a recommendation. Actually, it's for a friend who is absolutely stuck for a good book to read. Below are some of her favorite books. Does anyone have any suggestions for her?
Thanks so much!

I just finished reading:
It was a very good read. It's supposed to be a "ghost" story, but it's more of a subdued thriller. If you like historical fiction, I think this is a good read. It was very interesting. Took a good 100 pages to get moving, but it wasn't boring... it held my interest and that's not always easy to do. Overall, I thought it a really good book and I enjoyed it a lot.
Now I'm reading:
I'm about 60 pages in and so far I'm enjoying the story. It's well written and so far interesting. This book was recommended to me. It's quite long, and a bit intimidating, but I'm told it's a great read. Guess we'll see!

The Devil in the White City was one of my all time favorites!!! It is so interesting because it is historical about one of our greatest cities as well as the suspense of a real crime! These two story lines are meshed together into an amazing read.

Hi Coffee_Luvr,
This is on my reading list. A friend recommended it to me and its sitting patiently on my bookshelf waiting for me to get to it. It looks so interesting! Glad to hear another positive review before I dive in :-)
