Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Re: Welcome & Introductions

I am extremely excited about this new book. I finished reading The Believers a while ago, and I am glad that we have another first look so soon. Happy readings to all.

Re: Welcome & Introductions

Dear Karen,

I am looking forward to being part of this discussion.  I need help in registering, since nothing has asked for my address or info beyond password, etcetera.  I belong to two wonderful bookgroups that meet in members'  homes.  We are always looking for new books.  I would love to be able to suggest some as they are being published.

Thanks,

Lussie

Re: Welcome & Introductions

Hello, it is mwinasu and I think I am in.  It is cold and dark here today.  We are loosing about 5 minutes a day of daylight until Dec.22.  I am so glad we have so many festivals this time of year.  It gives me reasons to be happy at a time when it feels that winter will never leave.

Re: Welcome & Introductions

Hi, my name is Jen and I am from MA.  I love reading and would read ALL the time if it was possible.  I am a teacher in second grade and reading is my way to cool down after a long day.  I am excited about this book, it seems like a good one.  I have been a part of other First Looks as well and it is a great opportunity!

Re: Welcome & Introductions

Greetings from sunny Arizona. My name is Diane, my husband and I are in Arizona for treatments for his cancer, otherwise we are from North Dakota. This will be my second First Look. This is such an exciting experience. Thanks to all who make it possible. My first First Look book was "The Mighty Queens of Freeville", by Amy Dickinson. It was a fun read.

Looking forward to meeting the rest of you, and joining the discussions.
