Re: Welcome and Introductions

Hi,

This is my 2nd First Look teen bookclub. I'm Catherine from Anoka, MN and run a teen bookclub so I am anxious to read the selection Before I Fall. If you were a stranger and read the last two sentences I wrote, they're pretty funny! Anyway, I'm ready and waiting.

Re: Welcome and Introductions

Hello, I'm Jaya (obviously) and I am a teenager... I seem to be one of the only ones here; strange.

It's great to meet you all. I'm an r-mod here, but I don't think my privelages extend pass Teen Reads, where I serve as a deputy. I've been on the boards since just before the release of DH, and Harry Potter is my favorite book.

I look forward to reading this selection!

Re: Welcome and Introductions

I just noticed I didnt get a chance to write about me all that much. So I will fill in some of the missing peices, I live in Southern Maine with my wonderful Bf, and my 4 year old son...I grew up actually reading mystery and thriller type books, then life happened and I didnt really read all that much... After I met my wonderful BF, I got back into books *he has a passion for books* Which got me back into them, Now I really enjoy the Young Adult books as well as some Paranormal and Urban Romance Types of books so I am very excited to read this book it has as I said, Been on my TBR list for quite some time. Our whole life revolves around books now, We read, my son is learning to read as well, so its fun getting to teach him how wonderful books are.

I also am a avid blogger, focusing more on Authors and there books then just reviews. I enjoy it. My blog can be found at www.star-shadowcreativeconcepts.blogspot.com Hope to see you all around the blogosphere as well as discussing this book with all of you.

Re: Welcome and Introductions

Hi,

I'm Jill and I am a stay at home mom to 4 children, my oldest is 6 and youngest is 1, so when I have free time I love to read.  I discovered First Look in August and that led me to blogging about books (after looking at some of the great blogs other readers in the discussion had).  I am having fun finding some creative time for me and escaping a bit in the comfort of my own home.  I've always loved to read but I'm enjoying being introduced to authors and books I might not have come across on my own.  Can't wait to give this one a try!

Jill

Re: Welcome and Introductions

I just wanted to say kudos to all of you young women who are able to stay at home and raise your children. How wonderful it is for both you and your children. Keep on reading to them and bonding with them.

Those that have to work to put food on the table are exceptional in their own way since they have to be breadwinner and mommy too. I also applaud them.

[ Edited ]

Hi everybody! I just received my confirmation email, and I'm excited to get to be a part of this discussion. I participated in the last First Look for teens, and I really enjoyed it. Reading is one of my favorite things to do. Also, Before I Fall looks really interesting! I can't wait to get started!

Edit*  I forgot to tell you about myself the first time I posted this message! Duh. I am a 17 year old senior from Ohio, and I play the alto saxophone in band. My favorite color is green, and, as aforementioned in my first paragraph, I love to read--especially books of the fantasy genre.

Re: Welcome and Introductions

Hey all,

I'm the r-mod for "Literature by Women" and I've been in oodles of First Look's.  Before I Fall looks to be a fantastic read -  a great premise, IMO.

Paul, if worse-comes-to-worst and you need the ARCs I can always bum QueenofZone2's copy when she's done with it - we work for the same store :smileyvery-happy: (I did send a sign-up PM)

Re: Welcome and Introductions

Hi all!

I'm Melissa & new to the book clubs on here. I'm just finishing my master's in library science, specializing in YA librarianship, and a former high school English teacher (possibly future, too... we'll see).  This is a book that's on my TBR list, like a lot of you, and also like most of you I am a huge lover of YA lit.

Erm... random facts: I volunteer for The Leaky Cauldron (a Harry Potter website), I play clarinet and sing soprano, I laugh a lot, and if I get bored you can generally detect slow-motion tap dancing.

Looking forward to discussing this one with you all! =D

You can find my full reading list over at http://www.goodreads.com/mlwl.
