Hi! I'm a stay-at-home mom of two little boys (a 2 1/2 year old and a 9 month old). They keep me running around all day, but I somehow manage to fit in some reading time every day! I love reading anything and everything. This will be my third First Look/Sneak Peak book. I've had fun with the other two, so I can't wait to finish reading the book and start discussing!

Well, I am a bit late to this thread but here it goes... my name is Amanda, I am 25 years old yet still proud to be a young adult book lover!! Other favorite genres of mine include urban fantasy, children series, and certain fiction novels. Teaching and reading are my two great passions, and I try to pass that love of reading on to my students. I am looking forward to reading Before I Fall and discussing it with other book lovers! I have never participated in a "First Look" before, so am anxious to get things started. Will begin reading next week!

I am a Merch Manager at a B&N in Houston, TX. I work a lot in the teen department and am pretty much the go to person in my store if you want to know about a new teen book. Needless to say I read voraciously. I started reading Before I Fall and could not put it down. I finished it in only a couple of days. Staying up late and reading on every break until I finished it with a whimper. I want more! What a wonderful book. I think Ms. Oliver did an outstanding job and I am looking forward to this dialogue.

Hello, I am Luanne from Minnesota.
I had a nice surprise of the book yesterday.
I just finished the first section and I am ready for the discussion this week.
I have been following the other threads. The trailers were very good.
I am glad to see a lot of new posters, along with a lot of familiar faces.
PaulH somehow the "Vacuum My House While I Read" accessory didn't come with Before I Fall.
I could really use that.

Just so you know, you're not the only teen. I am also a teen and about ten teens I know are also doing this book club. Harry Potter is also my favorite book.

Hi flarglepuf - I LOVE your tagline --- 'I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it!' If you don't mind, I may borrow it sometime. Some of my days are like that! ![]()
I also have a great line that I like to use sometimes - 'I am going to have a nervous breakdown .... when I have time!' ..... cause who has the time?? ![]()
Looking forward to a great discussion of this book!

Yeah, I had the exact same question! I knew there must be a way to do it since so many people did! Thanks Paul and Zeal!

Hello All,
My name is Claudia. I am a mother of 2 grown children and grandmother to 3 beautiful grandchildren - 2 boys, 6 and 4 and a gorgeous 3 year old girl! I am also sometime mom to over 90 7th grade kids whom I teach in inclusion Language Arts/Literature classes and 12 very lively girls whom I coach on the Basketball cheerleading squad! I help coach our school's reading bowl team (which was in competition this last weekend). I am on my school's administrative support team and am on the committee to help pick this year's Georgia Children Book Award Nominees. WHOOO! Even writing all that made me tired!! No wonder I feel that way!
I live in the great state of Georgia in the northwest corner and even though I know we have not had what some of you have had, to us we have been having a COLD winter! Oh well, maybe fewer mosquitoes, gnats, and wasps this summer!
Because of all I have been doing and computer problems, I haven't been able to be involved as much as I would like in the last First Look, but am hoping that will change with this one!! I like what I have been able to read thus far.
I have only missed out on a few of the First Look books and have missed communicating with a few of my "old buddies". I hope everyone enjoys this one!
Claudia

Hi! I'm Sarah and I live in Southern California. I'm currently a Library and Information Science grad student. I love reading books, researching genealogy, photographing birds, and following politics.
It's very nice to meet you all! This will be my second time participating in the First Look program, after just having finished Eternal on the Water last month. I'm looking forward to reading this book and participating in the group discussion!

Hi my name is Melissa.
I'm a junior in high school, and I actually love to read. A lot of people in my school hate reading, but I don't. Some of my favorite authors include Stephen King, Lurlene McDaniel, S. E Hinton and Tomas Fahy. I'm an artistic person, I love to paint and draw. I got excited when my mom told me that she put me in this book club thing. I'm looking forward to reading the books that come along.
