Re: Welcome and Introductions

Hi! I'm Tabitha and I'm so excited to be participating in this First Look.  This will be my second first look, but first YA, and I'm hoping to be able to be more involved in the discussion this time!  I am a middle school Communication Arts teacher so I am always reading YA Books.  I am looking forward to reading something new and being able to share it with my students when we are done!

Hi!  I'm Aimee from PA.  I have participated in at least 5 First Look discussions, including the last teen selection, Hush, Hush!  Reading is a passion of mine, and I am happy to say that several of my 8th grade students will be joining the discussion boards with me this time around.  I cannot wait to see what they think!  It is good to be back after having to take a break from participating in the book clubs.  It seems as if there are many new individuals to the boards this time...welcome!  It is a wonderful group, one I am sure that you will enjoy!  I have been confirmed and now am anxiously awaiting delivery so I can start reading :smileyvery-happy:  Enjoy All!

 I think this is GREAT!!

Re: Welcome and Introductions

Thanks!  The students are very excited!  Luna12TK (posted right above you) is also an 8th grade teacher here in our school, so she is on board too!  Should make for a great experience!

When I post, it is not showing the post that I am replying to along with my reply.  I first go to the "options" menu and select "highlight post," but it is then not showing up.  This is how I've always done it and have never had a problem.  Did something change?  Any suggestions?  Thanks for your help :smileyhappy:

Re: Welcome and Introductions

I'm a mom to 2 teens, and that's where my love of YA books was rekindled. I had forgotten how much I loved this genre, but with reading things the kids liked and things I had heard about, I fell in love all over again! I'm looking forward to reading and discussing this book with everyone!

Re: Welcome and Introductions

I have partipated in some of the First Look books, but am very excited to read a young adult book.  I read a lot and every now and then select something that is recommended for young adults.  I am a wife, mother of two daughters, and grandmother to two beautiful children.  I can't wait to get started.

Re: Welcome and Introductions

I've been having the same difficulty posting. Were there instructions somewhere on how to post? This is my first FL experience.

I am not sure if anyone will see this but I just wanted to post in here....if anyone who wants the book but didn't get one, I have an extra ARC of Before I fall. I got my copy from BN for the club and then my friend mailed me a copy she got from the author and I got it today. If you are interested then send me an email through here and let me know. I am hoping that I can get this out to you in tomorrow's mail (Fri the 29th of Jan)

I'm Kathy from Pennsylvania. I received my copy today and am very much looking forward to reading this book. It looks to be exactly the type I would buy and recommend to others. I've participated in several First Looks now, and this is my second from the young adult genre.
