Re: Welcome and Introductions

Hi everyone :smileyhappy:

I just signed up, so I'm hoping I'm  not too late to receive a confirmation.  "Before I Fall" sounds relaly interesting, so even if I don't, it's on my reading list now!  I haven't done First Look before, but I'm really eager to try it out.

As for me, I read a lot of YA and YR works.  I'm lucky enough to work in this department at my local B&N, so I read even more so that I can recommend good stuff to people and tailor to their needs.  I always like to check out what's hot and popular (in addition to stuff that just plain interests me!), and "Before I Fall" sounds like it will be a popular title later this year.

Re: Welcome and Introductions

Hey everyone! I'm Tricia, I'm 21, and I'm from Pennsylvania. I love to read and am so excited for this book, it looks really good. I've done a few First Look's before, currently reading Eternal on the Water, and I really liked the last teen one with Hush, Hush. I'm also going to read this book with my 13 year old sister, we both like some of the same kind of books so I think this will be a cool way to do something together.

Re: Welcome and Introductions

I'm new to this site, as many of you are, but the difference is, I'm a middle school student. I'm feeling a bit out of place seeing as many of you are in college or are parents who still enjoy young adult literature, though i look forward to being able to associate with you, hopefully as an equal. :smileyhappy: So, I'm a typical person i suppose you could say, not much different from anyone you've seen before. I enjoy being very entranced by novels and am very picky about my reading choices. I know it's terrible but if I don't enjoy a book after the first chapter, it gets to enjoy a life of collecting dust in the back of my closet. I also love to write poetry and hope that someday, by some stroke of luck, i could be published. Thanks so much for listening to my painfully boring introduction! Talk to you soon :smileyhappy:

Another rabbit owner! We're a rare breed. My husband and I have a Mini Dutch named Peabody. Good to meet a fellow reader who enjoys books and rabbits.

Re: Welcome and Introductions

I'm a college student that loves a good read. Reading has been one of my passions since I learned to read. As a child I was grounded from reading because nothing else phased me as long as I still had my books. I love the world of YA fiction. While I can appreciate other genres of literature, nothing satisfies quite like the coming of age tales and wonderful characters I find in these books.

This will be the first book club I've participated in and I'm excited to read and discuss this book with you.

Re: Welcome and Introductions

Hi :smileyhappy:

I’m a young spanish girl that loves to read, specially YA books. It’s the first time I sign up in ‘First Look’ and I’m so excited. I’m really looking forward to read ‘Before I fall’ because looks great and it’s been in my wishlist since the first time I heard from him.

I’m a book eater and also a blogger - I’ve a YA blog (in spanish) where I talk about books and make reviews of the ones I’ve read, so I’d love to read this book and talk about him in mi blog ^-^

Re: Welcome and Introductions

Hi, all.  I love lots of different kinds of books, and even though I'm far from a teen, I still enjoy books aimed at that age group.  I read often with my daughter, who is a teen.  We'll read the same book and then talk about it.  Can't wait to get this one!  :-)

Welcome!!  It is great that you are here. You sound much older than a middle school student!  I think it is terrific to have such a wonderful mix of people.  You will be treated well-  I can tell that you will do the same for others!

Again, welcome and it's great to have you!
