Re: Welcome and Introductions

[ Edited ]

Hello!  I'm a bassoon teacher and performer in Grand Rapids, MI, where I live with my husband, son (7) and daughter (3), and our dog, Willie (10 months).  I love music (obviously), books, movies, TV and writing.  This is my first First Look and I'm really excited share in this experience with so many others from all over the country.

By the way, my son is in second grade and has been labeled gifted & talented - we're looking for things to do with him, so if anyone has any suggestions for a G&T family, send them my way.

Hi everyone!

My name is Tricia, I'm 21, and I'm from Pennsylvania. Besides reading I love scrapbooking and taking pictures, and I want to travel the world! I can't wait to start reading Eternal on the Water, it sounds like it will be a good read!

Re: Welcome and Introductions

Hi, I'm Marcílio, a Brazilian literature and English language professor. I had been absent from First Look Book Clubs for a short period of time but now I'm back. I'm from Brazil, male (most of people here thought I was a woman LOL), married, no children. I love reading, making origamis and everything related to arts in general which I appreciate a lot. I think this is my 8th or 9th FL. This is a wonderful group for discussions.

It's really good to be back!

Re: Welcome and Introductions

Hi, I'm Gail from Philly. I enjoyed The Postmistress and I'm looking forward to reading Eternal on the Water.

I love the book club because it gives me a chance to read books I might not have been exposed to otherwise. And hearing all the opinions is interesting.

Hi-

I'm new to B&N book discussions, but did recieve "Truly,Madly" arc by Heather Webber and loved it!

I read it in 1 day when I was out sick from work, and am ready for the Dec 7th discussion.

I look forward to reading "Eternal on the Water" too, now. I'm not so great navigating these discussion boards though, so bear with me as I figure 'em out :")
