Re: Community Room

Still haven't got my copy yet but I'm hoping that it comes tomorrow or Tuesday so that I can read it before the discussion starts.

Re: Community Room

I still haven't got mine, must be a west coast thing.  I saw on here a least one other hasn't got theirs yet either, was beginning to think it was just me.  I hope I get it soon so I don't have to rush, rush to read Hush,Hush in time. :smileyhappy:

I got my copy about a week ago.

Actually, I just finished it.

*baring teeth and trying desperately not to scream spoilers*

I cannot wait for book discussion.

It needs to come faster!

Re: Where do you read?

I read everywhere and anywhere!  My husband laughs at me because I'll take books with me anywhere I go (there's always a book in my bag).  I'll even pull books out and read while I'm waiting in lines.  I also love audiobooks, so I've usually got multiple books going at one time, but I like it because I feel like I get more read!

I just wanted to thank everyone who responded to my post.

I enjoyed hearing where everyone reads, beverage, pets, Ipod, TV, etc.

I can't remember who said they like to read in the bathtub, I have tried and I just can't get comfortable. But I envy you, because it should be very relaxing.

Anyway, thank you again.

And if anyone else wants to share where they read. I would still like to hear.

Someone posed a question on another First Look book that I thought was a lot of fun.

The question was where do you like to read, do you have a beverage, pets with you, TV on, etc. I would like to know.

So to start I usually read on my couch in the living room. Usually with the TV on as background noise(bad habit of mine). I usually have a cup of tea. My 2 favorites are Earl Grey and Japanese Wild Cherry teas. My 2 dogs are right there with me, Bridget the Standard Poodle and Mika the Japanese Chin. I also like reading on my deck in the summer with all my usual things with me, tea and dogs.

So please join in, I would like to know where you read.

I still didn't get my copy. But I hope it'll come as soon as possible. Still hope it doesn't come with missing pages. Has anybody been challenging the same problem?

Re: Community Room

I started and finished the book yesterday.  I can't wait for the discussion.  Definitely one of those books you feel the need to talk about!

Enjoy the reading and I suggest canceling any plans you have when you start, b/c odds are, you won't want to put it down!  :smileytongue:

I just barely got my book today and will be starting it a little later.  Perfect timing since I just finished the book I was reading.

Hi VTC,

Glad to hear from you. You registered late but we still have time to get the book. As PaulH wrote:

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED

If you sent in your enrollment specifics by 7:00 PM EST on 8/22, you will receive a book. Thanks!

If you have enrolled in the specific day you'll obviously receive your book. I live in Brazil so my book get a bit more to come. As a tropical country we have only two seasons: summer and winter. And even in winter we have sun sometimes! For now sun, sun and sun! The weather is too hot.

Best to you,

Marcilio

Re: Community Room

Just finished:

Under This Unbroken Sky

Just started: (I'm having a hard time getting in to this book, I'm about 70 pages in and have to work to pay attention, I've heard the 2nd half is great though so I'm going to keep plugging along)

Book of Air and Shadows

I decided to go to bed early last night and thought I'd read a chapter of Hush, Hush just to get a feel for it... I'm now on chapter 5! I had to force myself to put it down.
