Re: Final Thoughts

i think that the part of the book that will stick with me would just be Nora and Patch's relationship. and the life that is found in each of the characters [especially Vee and her zany attitude :smileywink:] i can NOT wait for the next  book!! ive also been recomending Hush, Hush to all of my friends, who have told me that they are buying their own copy of the book, so they dont have to borrow mine every time they want to read it again! :smileyhappy: And even after these books with Patch and Nora are over (NOO!!) then i hope that Becca continues to write more stories, with different characters, and different ideas, that will be just as amazingly brilliant as Hush, Hush :smileyvery-happy:

Re: Final Thoughts

I wish I would have been able to be more part of the discussions as they were happening. Unfortunately life gets in the way sometimes.  But the parts I was able to participate in and then later catch up and read have been wonderful.  This was a really great book and I can't wait for her next one to come out.

There are a couple of parts that will stick with me from this book.  The first was when Nora first realized what Patch was and had to reevaluate her thoughts and feelings about what was going on with him.   I think all of her scares with Elliot, the roller coaster and the man who attacked her car were all lumped together after she made this discovery.

The second and I think most important was when they were in the school fighting for her life.  She realized everything that had happened had led to this point of her trusting Patch and how she wanted to remember everything that had happened.  I believe that the ending was exactly how it should be and everything happens for a reason.  So the outcome is what happens when you have faith in someone regardless of how they came into your life.

Re: Final Thoughts

At the end of Hush, Hush, I was left in eager anticipation of the sequel, Crescendo. This book was very well written, and was a nice reprieve from the all-too-common theme of vampires in many of today's YA novels. I really enjoyed reading Hush,Hush and have recommended it to others. Considering the entire book as well as the many twists and turns within its plot, the scene at the school at the end will probably be the part that sticks with me the most. As a reader, the suspense and thrill of reading what occurred at the school are what made it my favorite scene in the entire book.

Re: Final Thoughts

I'm siting here about 8am and missing Hush Hush. I enjoyed it so much I am so sad it's done. That hasn't happened in years. I can't wait for Becca's next book, I hope it will be sooner than later. Maybe I should go back and read more "Teen Reads". Seems that's where the best writers are writing today.

Re: Final Thoughts

It's been awhile since I've read a young adult novel and after reading Hush, Hush I remembered why I love this genre so much! It 's a great book that has the reader flipping through the pages quickly to find out what happens next  and is just plain fun!  I had a blast reading it! Keep up the good work Becca, I can't wait for the sequel!

Re: Final Thoughts

I think when Patch's shirt got ripped and Nora saw his scar for the first time. Plus the endding was priceless made me laugh.

Re: Final Thoughts

The thing I will remember the most is when Patch and Nora are in the motel and patch tells Nora that he was planning to kill her. That part really stuck to me because think if he would have followed up on that and actually killed her.

Re: Final Thoughts

I agree that Patch may have other motives and that could lead to some interesting story lines  (maybe the next book)

Re: Final Thoughts

I've loved the 3 cap I have read. Although it is not going to post in my country, I keep the book from the web. Read it to me soon and I hope that the second book, "crescendo" comes out soon and, above all, in this book is more the story develops between Pacht and Nora.

Re: Final Thoughts

Ok.  So I am in the military and am stationed in Korea.  Just got my book yesterday, so I am playing catch up.  I haven't read any of the threads b/c I didn't want to ruin the book.  I am already on Chapter 25 and I just found out that Patch has been trying to kill Nora and his ex is still on earth.  Wow.

- So I really like whats going on so far.  Not the normal Vamp romance that has been going on lately.  I also like all the background that Becca has put into the book with Fallen Angels.  I think she is explaining things nicely.

- I really don't like Vee, she is always getting Nora into horrible situations. Plus, she didn't really learn her lesson after her close call during their shopping incident.  Not too bright that one.  Maybe she will shape up towards the end of the book.

-  Don't know what is going on with Elliot and Jules, I think they are Chauncey and the B guy.  Or other Fallen Angels out to get Patch and Nora.  Whomever. I don't like them at all.

-  I really like Patch, even though his initial intent was to kill Nora.  He obviously loves her very much.  I think he will either end up killing Chauncey and becoming human or he will save Nora and get his wings back.  I hope he becomes human and they end up happily ever after.  Although, who saves Nora?  I don't know what is going to happen.

I hope there is going to be a second book.  I have really enjoyed this novel.  Thank you for letting me get an ARC.

Re: Final Thoughts

I was so glad to read this YA book, I don't read them enough and this book reminded me why I enjoy them. It was a good read and I as I was reading, I was thinking in particular how much I would have loved it when I younger too. How I would have interpreted it a little differently, which I find fascinating. Overall, a good book and I anticipate reading the sequel!

Re: Final Thoughts

I loved this whole book, and choosing the part that will stick with me the most is hard. If i had to choose, i would probably say the part where Nora, Jules, and Patch are in the school gym and Jules is trying to kill Nora. I loved this part because Nora tried to sacrifice her life so Patch could have the life he wanted. That shows that she truly loves him. The fact that he didn't accept her sacrifice showed her that he really loved her, and would do anything to keep her alive, even if it means him not getting a human body. This is the part of the book where the true emotions of different characters come out, and all of the questions about their feelings are revealed. This is one of my favorite books, there is so much passion and desire filling it. To me, that is what makes a great book!
