Re: How to Get Your Free Reading Copy and Enroll in the Discussion

PaulH, I sent my sign up about a week or two ago and one yesterday. I have not heard from you about whether you got my request.

Do I have to sign up for the Teen First Look or just here at the regular First look.

Please let me know if I was too late.

I sent my info also and haven't heard anything. Are we still even allowed to enter to get it? I have really been wanting to review this one for my blog!

Here you go...pg. 207!

I still haven't received my copy and everyone around me seems to have gotten theirs -- should I be worried?

If I were you I would be sending a PM to Paul or Rachel about the problems you are having and see if you can get a new copy.

Re: How to Get Your Free Reading Copy and Enroll in the Discussion

I believe it's been a week since I signed up, does anyone know if requests are still being accepted?

Just curious - I have a houseful of anxious teen girls :smileyhappy:

Thanks.

Re: How to Get Your Free Reading Copy and Enroll in the Discussion

You can certainly post a review of the book on the B&N product page or on your blog if you have one (please do not post spoilers).  Paul will also post discussion questions for different sections of the book so be sure to post your thoughts as we go.  Near the end of the discussion Paul will probably ask readers to post the links to their reviews in a review thread.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I recieved my copy of Hush, Hush in the mail yesterday!  I can't wait to read it.  Is there a specific time that we have to post the reviews by, or do they just need to be posted by release date of the book?  Because that's what I usually do for my review blog.

Thanks everyone!

I am still confused about what it means about the list of boards and I was wondering if I would still be able to get a copy of this book.

A Teen Reads First Look Book Club Selection

We're happy to announce that our first ever Teen First Look Selection is Becca Fitzpatrick's hush, hush.

How far are you willing to fall?

Sign up to get Fitzpatrick's fantastic tale of fallen angels a month before it's published.

You will receive a free advance reading copy and access to the discussion with the author. The ARCs will mail soon and the discussion will begin on August 3rd. The book club will be visible to the public, but only those enrolled will be able to post on the board and discuss the book with the author and other readers.

Please only enroll if you're going to participate in the discussion. ARCs are limited, so if you do not participate, you will be excluded from future First Look selections.

Here is how to enroll:

1. Sign in
If you are not signed into your book club account, please sign in from the link in the upper left of this page. This is important. If you don't sign in, you will not be able to request a book. If you are having trouble signing in, please click here for more information.

If you are not a registered book club user, you can create an account by clicking on the register link in the upper left of this page. It's easy, and it's free.

2. Submit your information
Now that you are signed into your account, click on the small envelope icon above the list of boards. Click on New Message* and enter the following information into the window, as described below:

Send To -

HushHush

Subject --
Sign up for Hush, Hush

Your Message --
name
mailing address, including zip
daytime telephone number

Click "Send Message"

* Your private message must be enabled -- you can find that in Preferences > Display & Privacy Settings.

Note the following:

  • This message will be automatically sent to the correct mailbox -- do not insert or replace with additional addresses. We are only accepting registrations there. Please do not attempt to send this message to another account.
  • Be sure to give us all the information required and do not include any other text in this message other than what is requested.
  • These free books are limited, only one per account, per person, please. We will stop taking requests once we run out.
  • Finally, please do not post the requested information on the boards. Your information should only go into a private message.

You only need to send this message once. You'll receive confirmation of your enrollment via private message, not via email. It may take up to a week before this confirmation arrives. Be sure to go to the welcome thread and introduce yourself!

Thanks for your enthusiasm, and for being a part of the Barnes & Noble Book Clubs. If you haven't done so already, please have a look at all our current discussions. There's a lot going on

you won't get a confirmation here on this board, you will get in in your private message account. If you haven't gotten a confirmation there I would send a private message to Paul or our moderator Rachel.

Re: How to Get Your Free Reading Copy and Enroll in the Discussion

You'll need to look in your B&N Private Messages inbox.  Under the banner there are:

Just underneath "Announcements" you'll see an envelope with "[number] messages" written next to it.  If the box is yellow-colored then you have a new message.  If you click on the envelope at anytime it will open your message inbox and show you all your received messages.

If you do not have a message telling you that you are confirmed for the bookclub then you'll need to send a Private Message to PaulH - click the tab that says "Compose" then type "PaulH" in the "To" box.

Re: How to Get Your Free Reading Copy and Enroll in the Discussion

Keep an eye on your PM box - if you sent it in the last few days it might take a bit because PaulH has to manually go through all the messages and enter all the personal info so the book can be shipped to you.

Oh no worries, I JUST sent it in.  I was just wondering if it was already closed. Doesn't seem like it is.

Thanks
