My name is Laura.  I'm 34 and a single mom.  I have a 13-year-old daughter who I talk to about the First Look book club all the time.  I always tell her how good all the books are and how much fun I have posting and reading everyone's thoughts.  Hopefully she and I can both read this book and discuss it with you all.

It looks like we have a great mix of different people to share their opinions.  Can't wait to be a part of it!

My kids are now in their 20's and I loved to read all the books that they did in the YA group.

My name is Claudia.  I am one of those mid 50's people.  I read lots of teen fiction because I teach 7th graders.  So, I am really looking forward toreading this book!!  I am a mom of 2 and MeMaw to 3 wonderful grandchildren ~ 2 boys, 6 and 4 and a lovely girl, 3. School starts soon, so I will be sharing my reading experience with my "extended family" of 12 - 14 year olds!

I am Lynn from Milwaukee, WI. I like to read most genres but I truly love YA even though I am 39. When I was young Go Ask Alice was so shocking to me and really scared me off drugs. Then I was hooked on the V.C. Andrews which many teens/tweens got into. I am now teaching and I find reading YA helps to connect with the students in the class. You see them as real people struggling- and there are also those wonderful opportunities to discuss the books with students when you see them reading the same thing.

Hello everyone!  I'm Lana, in my early 40's, wife and mom of 5, three of which are YA.  I love reading Harry Potter and other YA novels as well as almost anything else.  I have enjoyed the First Look Book Club and I am looking forward to this one too.  I have bragged about it so much, that my oldest daughter has also requested to read this one too!  I am very excited to have received my confirmation today and look forward to reading everyone's posts.

I am now probably the oldest --I will be 62 in December.  I have 3 children and 3 grandchildren.. I taught school and worked in the children/ young adult section of a library.

I have found many many books for YA extremely well written and enjoyable.

i consider myself to be old in age but I am young in spirit.  I often am shocked when i see my reflection --since in my mind I feel young --then I see those few gray hairs !!!

It is true you are as young as you  FEEL  in your heart.

Am looking forward to discussion with all age groups.

Sometimes a grandmother can put things into perspective .......

Hi! My name is Haley, and I'm 15, a sophomore in high school, and I'm completely and utterly addicted to anything doing with reading and writing. I first really got involved with reading when my father read 'The Hobbit' to me in it's entirety when I was five. I finished the rest of the trilogy by the time I was seven, then moved on to Harry Potter. I really love the YA Fantasy/Fiction genre (it's addicting!) and Hush, Hush looks really really good.
