Audio vs. Book

I agree both have their place. I love reading but 1 hour commute (each way) you need a good audio book to enjoy the ride.

I too have an hour commute and LOVE my audio books.  They keep me sane!  Jo

Mine has arrived.  It's here from a PO Box in Buffalo to which it was delivered by post and then by father's car to my house.  So, I can't confirm what day it actually arrived in the mail.  I am just thrilled it's here!  I'm going to hold off on starting until it gets closer so that the first several chapters we are discussing are still fresh in my mind.  In the meantime, I'll just gaze at the lovely cover.

Cheers!

Amanda

Do we know when the book will arrive I can't wait to start.

Mine came yesterday...in the big brown truck!  I guess you could say they are all out there...swarming around like bees!  Sorry, couldn't resist! :-)

Woo-Hoo!!!!  My copy arrived today, and I am "darbyscloset" located in lovely Kansas!

I have so enjoyed the chats from the other "first reads" I have been lucky enough to join.

Talk to everyone soon!

My mom was born in Americus, KS. It's right near Emporia. Where are you?

This really isn't a book I'd have chosen for myself, but think it will be a great change of pace.

3 questions I would like to throw out to the bibliophiles in the crowd-

1) Has anyone else noticed the cover and how the pictures tie in with the story -- it is just amazing if you have not.

2) What is the significance of the number 3 throughout the book?

3) What is the connection or significance (if any) between

      24 Monarch Street

      27 Orchard Road

      175 Willow Lane

      Lotus Blossum Lane

      70 Magnolia Avenue

I think you are ahead of us when it comes to addresses. Up to chapter nine only two houses are involved.
