Ponie, I like your little song!  Maybe you can come up with a first verse while we are all waiting for our confirmation PM.

I want to teach you all a song as we wait...we will all be singing it soon; as soon as confirmation is received.  It goes to the tune of Oh Where Oh Where has my little dog gone.  I'm introducing it early so we can all be ready when we need it.  It goes with the waiting for the little brown truck dance.

Here we go...

Oh Where Oh Where is the little brown truck?

Oh Where Oh Where can it be?

Got my PM today

Confirmation has come

Now I'm waiting for my A-R-C

Re: Welcome and Introductions

I am loving it.  I am loving the fact that it's written from the dog's perspective.  Every now and then I just can't help but laugh, Chet behaves just like my beagle.

I'm actually about 20 pages away from finishing Dog On It, which a few of the other First Lookers suggested.  It's a great book. Not sure what I will pickup next.

Many laugh out loud moments with Chet!  Added much to the way I look at my border collie....and think about what she might be thinking or trying to say!!!!!!!

Re: Welcome and Introductions

Yeah - the waiting is horrible!!!  Almost as bad as waiting to see if someone will choose you for their team in gym class at school. Okay, well, not that bad....

For dogs and classical books lovers I indicate Flush by Virginia Woolf. It's in a dog perspective. See the link:

Re: Welcome and Introductions

That happened to me also, fordmg. I sent a PM to PaulH to tell him. That has happened to me in the past and it has never effected my registration

fordmg wrote:

Hi everyone.  I just signed up for this new First Look.  I hope it went through ok.

The message sent itself before I was finished putting in my data, so I had to start again.

Please let me know that I was successful.  I really enjoy these FL books.

Re: Welcome and Introductions

I agree with DSaff.  I read The Forgotten Garden in April & it is well worthwhile.  It's also a fast read.

I'm Teresa from Ky.  Anyone coming to the Derby?

I've participated in two of the FL's including the most recent,  Physick Book. I wasn't a member when House at Riverton and Monsters of Templeton were offered, but I read and enjoyed them after discovering the B &N on line club and reading the posts.

It's been a lot of fun to read & share with other book lovers!

I'm  #3 on the waiting list at my local library for Kate Morton's newest

Re: Welcome and Introductions

Hi all, didn't get a confirmation yet but hope too since I signed up early! My name is Stephanie, I'm 33 but will be 34 by the time the discussion starts since my bday is on June 1st! I live in NJ, single, no kids. This is my 2nd time with FL, the 1st was the last one, Deliverance Dane. I had such a great time discussing the book with everyone. Can't wait to get started!

And it's magic if the book is right

Makes you feel enchanted morning noon and night

I'll tell you about the magic, much has been recorded

Read Of Bees and Mist and you'll be transported
