Hi Rachel,
Glad to see that you will be our moderator for the new selection. I am very much looking forward to the upcoming discussions.

Hi all,
Happy to see so many jumping in so early! I'm Rachel and I'll be your moderator for the month. I'll be posting a schedule for our discussion in the near future. We had a great month with our last selection, and I'm really looking forward to this one, too.
If anyone is curious about any of the moderators or admins for B&N, remember that we can all click on each other's profiles to get an idea of reading tastes, and whatever personal information we choose to share. If you haven't created your profile yet, it's fun! It's writing your own reading autobiography!
I'm a mom and a librarian, and moved a couple of years ago to the south. I'm still getting accustomed to the lack of winter. (Since I'm also a knitting addict, this is a problem!) I've worked for B&N for more than four years, and love it, of course.
I'm looking forward to the group!

Hi everyone,
I am Charito, a mother of three and grandmother of one. Living in Boston, a retired school administrator, I now volunteer at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and help plan and train people in fall prevention through "A Matter of Balance".
This is my first FL, though my daughter has joined several times and has told me all about it.

Hi, I am Ellen from Connecticut. Just got confirmed for Of Bees and Mist.
I have two children that keep me going! When I do get some free time I just love to read. Looking forward to joining the discussion on this FL book. I wasn't able to on the last one.

Hi all! I'm Kayla from Utah and this is my second first look. I'm exited to get started on this selection. I'm a SAHM of 4 children. Thank goodness the weather is getting warmer so we can go outside to play and I can read! I'm also planning to move during this month, so hopefully I can keep up on the discussion. I'll give it my best shot!

Ponie:
How are you enjoying listening to Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell? I am reading it also while waiting for confirmation. What do you think about the book?

I dont have mine - I sent my request in at 12:01 on the day it opened, so I'm not sure of the order they are being sent out in. I'm sure they have it under control and it will be very soon that we have our confirmations!!
Cheers,
Amanda

Hi! My name is Renee. I ran across the club when I went onto Barnes & Noble. I have a question though. I am trying to click on New Message to put my info in and it doesn't let me click on it. It has a red circle when I try to. I can click on basically anything else. If any one can help, I really appreciate it. Thank you in advancee.

Renee, welcome. If you have registered and can sign in at the top, then you should see a little white envelope above these posts. That is where you will see your "private messages" and when you click on the envelope, it will have a place to post new messages, recieve and also see the ones you sent. That is where you need to put your info in a new message. The new message at the top of these posts at the left, is for something else, the admins I think to post new threads and I am registered and can not open it either. If you don't know if you are registered or not, look at the right top where it says sign in. If you can sign in, you will see the little white envelope to click on, if you can't sign in, it will tell you how to set up your account so you can sign in. Once you are signed in, you will be good to go, to check your pm box (the envelope) and put your info in a new message there. Hope this helps you. ![]()

Click on the little white envelope at the top, your private message box, and then check on sent messages. If you sent it correctly, it will be there. If it has been read, it will not be bold print but lighter print. When it goes lighter, you will know it has been read, and they will send you a pm later too, to let you know. ![]()

Can't wait to chat with everyone about Of Bees and Mist (I did get my confirmation!) and make some new friends! I'll keep my eyes peeled here for further directions- being a newbie at this I don't want to miss anything! Happy Reading!

Hello!! I have been in many First Looks, the last one being "The Physick Book", which I wasn't able to be very involved with. I have two weddings that I am in coming up this month, the first of which is next weekend, May 9th. I did not realize how involved I would be in the whole process either, so that made it difficult to be involved in the discussion. It was a great book, though!!
I am excited to be a part of this First Look! Just saw my envelope today. It looks like a great read and I can't wait to get started. This First Look club is wonderful and I have told a few people about it, let's see if the take my advice to join.

Rachel,
Glad you will be joining us once again. Thanks for the introduction-I didn't even think of checking profiles....duh!
Am curious, how far south are you? I live in TN, and we still enjoy the change of seasons without having snow until April haha.
