We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Colson Whitehead's Map of Sag Harbor

[ Edited ]

We're lucky to get an exclusive preview of a map that Colson did for the book. It pinpoints the highlights of Benji's Sag Harbor.

Re: Colson Whitehead's Map of Sag Harbor

Wow! This map is absolutely fantastic. This will definitely help me to visualize Sag Harbor as I read. What a terrific addition to the book. I especially love the little details such as the "first fight" location included on the map.

Thank you!

Perfect, this map is perfect.  It is helpful in that it marks the various subdivisions like Azurest and Ninevah.  Oh! and look, that's where Jonni Waffle is located - thanks for posting this map, it's great.

Re: Colson Whitehead's Map of Sag Harbor

As I was reading the other night, I was wishing I could look at a map of Sag Harbor.  Lo and behold!  Thanks so much!  I agree that this would be a wonderful addition to the published book.

This would be fantastic at the end of the book!  I usually try to visualize what the setting is like, just as I do with the characters.

Re: Colson Whitehead's Map of Sag Harbor

What a marvelous map... it grounds the story within such amazingly detailed specifics... I love the details...

"The Old House, Beware!"

"To East Hampton, the Atlantic Ocean and Europe."

Its a bit like a treasure map.

Great map...helps to "see" things and places and events better.  I agree it would be nice if it came with the book.

Re: Colson Whitehead's Map of Sag Harbor

I love the map! "found 2 bucks here once" "the truck with the confederate flag".... all the places we're reading about.  Definitely a keeper for the book.  It's like something a tween boy would have put together for a keepsake or something and it certainly helps me visualize a place I've never been to.

I am really enjoying this book.

Re: Colson Whitehead's Map of Sag Harbor

I've been traveling a bit so this book has become my airplane read. I wish I had seen this map before I left town.  I would have printed it and kept the copy with my notepaper! Nice!

I love the map! Glad we got a chance to see all the places we were reading about. I printed off a copy and stuck it in the pages of my book for future reference!:smileyhappy:
