Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Hi all, I'm Kaye from Florida. This will be my fifth first look. Since I have never read Ms. Heller before, it should be interesting.

Re: Welcomes and Introductions

Hi everyone, I'm Bearsstar (aka Jeanne:}), I signed up for The Believers, but not sure I got in in time.  Hope so anyway.  I also talked my son and daughter to participate, but they won't tell me if they did.  I love reading, meeting new people and talking about what and how we feel about the book and about it's telling us.  I have 4 children 2 boys, 2 girls; 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and 2 dogs, 2 cats and 2 ferrets :}  Hope I do get picked and able to participate, I have loved the sharing .  Thanks to the B&N Book Club and everyone, I have learned to like all types of books.

Re: Welcomes and Introductions

Got my acceptance email today.   Look forward to seeing both lots of old and many new faces (well, e-faces) here.  Zoe Heller is new to me, so it will be an interesting read.

Re: Welcomes and Introductions

Hey all.  I am super jazzed to be getting The Believers.  I received What Was She Thinking a few weeks ago so now I will have to read it before the new book comes in.  Looking forward to reading and discussing with all of you.

Re: Welcomes and Introductions

Got my confirmation today and am glad to say that I will be participating in another book discussion.

Has anyone else noticed that when you go to read the thread messages it no longer takes you to your first unread message?  I don't know if it is something new or just a glitch they have not worked out yet :smileysad:
