Since 1997, you’ve been coming to to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Thanks everyone!

We are in the final days of this club and I just wanted to thank Amy and her editor, Gretchen, for being our guests.  Thanks to Amy's publisher, Voice, for participating in this edition of First Look.  And a huge thanks to Stephanie for moderating this club!

Please write your review for the book and then come back and post a link to your review in this thread.

We hope you enjoyed the book!

And stay tuned, we will have an announcement for the next First Look in days!

Re: Thanks everyone!

I would also like to thank Amy and Gretchen, and everyone who participated in this First Look Club.

Amy, thank you so much for sharing your time with us - I so appreciate your candid responses to the comments and questions posted here.  I love your memoir, and I can't wait to read the next!  I hope you'll join us here at B&N Book Clubs again soon.

Gretchen, your expertise is much appreciated, not only as Amy's editor, but also here in our group, to answer our questions and share your knowledge with us.

And finally, to the Group!  As always, when a great discussion comes to an end, I always think it's too soon. It has really been fun chatting with all of you about Amy's memoir and hearing your stories and thoughts about this book, and life in general.  Please take a look at some of the other book discussions and groups here on B&N Book Clubs, I'm sure you'll find many that will capture your interest.

See you soon!

Re: Thanks everyone!

Dear First Lookers and B and N,

I can't tell you how grateful I am that you allowed me to participate in your discussion of "The Mighty Queens of Freeville." I especially appreciate your constructive criticism and supportive honesty.

Paying attention to honest assessments of your work is absolutely essential to any writer who wants to succeed. These discussions also have helped me to frame discussions that will occur later, once the book is officially published.

And my favorite part of all is when you chose to tell my your own "Mighty Queens" stories. What a blast!
