Bravo for Katherine, Leslie, and the group!

This is our last week with Katherine, and this has been a wonderful month! Many are heaping up praises for The Physick Book, but I also want to add our great thanks to Katherine for keeping up with this wild crowd! It's been a pleasure!

And many thanks to Leslie for helping Katherine's novel get into our hands, and for generously taking part in the group!

We still have a week to trade thoughts, but I want to make sure the group members get my thanks for all of your participation. There have been so many excellent and thoughtful posts this month!

Thanks to everyone!  This has been by far the best First Look that I have been a part of.  I can't wait until Katherine's next book is published.

I would like to thank our moderator- Rachel, for bringing up very interesting questions.  To Leslie, for making it possible for us to have this wonderful opportunity to read and discuss this great book. And finally, to Kathering Howe for writing such a great book.

This is my First Look book and I couldn't have asked for a better book and subject to start my journey with this fabulous group of readers to start with.

Re: Bravo for Katherine, Leslie, and the group!

Hi Everyone,

It has indeed been a wonderful few weeks with Katherine's novel.  I'd like to thank B&N, the entire staff of First Look, Katherine and Leslie for bringing this wonderful and thought provoking novel to our attention. This was the most active discussion over a book, that I have ever been involved in.

I thoroughly enjoyed the lively discussion and different points of view that were noted throughout.  I'm sure that we will be seeing and hearing more from Katherine in the future.  Hopefully that sequel we've all been hinting to her about will come out soon.

Re: Bravo for Katherine, Leslie, and the group!

I would like to say thank you to Katherine for not only patiently fielding our myriad questions, but for also asking open ended questions of her own which allowed us all to dig deeper into our thoughts, thus creating a much more insightful discussion. Many thanks to everyone involved for making this the best first look so far. Anxiously awaiting the next!

Re: Bravo for Katherine, Leslie, and the group!

Really enjoyed this group everyone had something to say.  And I even had a few things to say this time.  So I like to add my Bravo for Katherine, Leslie also they were the best for this group of people reading this great first novel.  Already wrote my review of the book because it is a great read.  Thanks again Katharine, for writing such a great novel I will be getting the word out for this book.

Re: Bravo for Katherine, Leslie, and the group!

Wanted to say thank you to everyone involved. This was a really great novel and I am very grateful that I had a chance to read it. I have been spreading the word to everyone I know about this novel even bringing it to an awards dinner to pass it around. I have added the badge to my blog and will look for additional ways to spread the work about First Look and this fantastic novel.

Again, thank you for such a wonderful opportunity!

Re: Bravo for Katherine, Leslie, and the group!

I always enjoy the participation in the first look book club, but this time was BIG FUN because it seemed that everybody participated and often. It's always fun to read what others think of the same thing you read and how all of our opinions differ.

I had a blast and can't wait until the next one.

Thanks everybody!!

Re: Bravo for Katherine, Leslie, and the group!

I would second what Thayer said.  Katherine added a tremendous amount to the boards by asking her own questions to get the reader thinking.

Thank you all for a great First Look experience.

Re: Bravo for Katherine, Leslie, and the group!

Yes- thanks to everyone!! This was the best First Look book I've read... and I think I can count it among the top five books I've ever early reviewed. This is deffinetly a book I'll be buying copies of to give out as gifts. The discussions were very straight forward and intelegent, and it was fun to see what everyone thought of the different points.
