Paul,

I signed in today expecting to begin discussions on chapters 15-21 as posted in the schedule, but instead was surprised to find reviews already being posted and no threads for said chapters. Did I miss something?

If you did, I did too.  I thought maybe I didn't get the memo!!!

   Hi Thayer,

I too was surprised not to see any questions for this week and I sent a PM to rkubie.  She just sent me a response telling me that the questions for this week will be posted some time this evening.

Re: Let's Get the Word Out: Customer Reviews!

I absolutely loved The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane and will happily write a review for barnesandnoble.com.

For those of us who blog - are we allowed to post a review of the book at this time? Or should we wait until the book is released in June?

You're absolutely allowed to blog now. You all have earned the right to be the first to talk/review about Deliverance Dane, as you guys are among the first people to ever read it!

I'm sorry for the confusion. More chapter threads to come! I just wanted to carry all of our early enthusiam for Katherine's book out to the general reading public via our reviews (sans spoliers of course!)

Well it's 11:30pm EST and the new chapters discussion hasn't been posted yet. Hopefully it will be up tomorrow. To stay on topic, I plan to post a review of the book once I have finished reading it but I am trying to stay on schedule with the discussions. I find it's sometimes hard to discuss something when you already know what the hidden meanings are, etc and plus, there's the chance of a slip up & mentioning something that you shouldn't. So I'll cross my fingers the new chapter discussions are posted so I can keep on reading & post my review soon! The closer I get to the end the more I want to keep reading so it may be sooner then expected!

Thank you very much for the response.  I will definitely write a review here and on my blog.  Also, thank you for the laurels.  I have no idea what laurels mean though - so I need to go and figure it out.  Can you tell this is my first ever First Look? :smileyhappy:

Re: Let's Get the Word Out: Customer Reviews!

Reading this book has been a real treat! From the very start of this story I didn't want to stop reading.  I am not yet finished but I can already tell you I don't want it to end.  I want to stay in this world expertly woven between past and present.  Thank you for picking such a delightful book for this installment of the "First Look Book Club"  I have already thought of several people I will buy it for as a gift.

Re: Let's Get the Word Out: Customer Reviews!

I enjoyed this book - it moved along nicely and the characters were fully defined.  I loved the ending!!  I enjoyed learning more about the Salem witch trials and the settings, both past and present.  This book brought up very interesting questions about religion and myths (or what we think is not real).  The plot or story line was varied and very interesting on several levels.  I thought it one of the better books that we've read for First Look Book Club and would recommend it to others.

I just loved the book. It's a 5 ***** in  my opinion. I just hope Ms. Howe writes a lot more novels in the future

I have posted my review on Barnes & Noble as well as recommended TPBODD on Goodreads and Facebook.  I am so thankful to have been a part of this First Look.  I can't wait for more from Ms. Howe!  I have a new favorite author.

Here is my review....I have to say of the 4 first club books I have had the opportunity to enjoy, this one by FAR has been my favorite. The subject matter helped but the writing was wonderful...we have had other books that have bounced back and forth between present and past and none were as well written....Thank you so much....
