Thank you for making the video available to us.  I see you are an administrator but I think it is still OK for you to get a Laurel.   For me it always adds a dimension to what I am reading when I have heard/seen the author "live". 

So thanks for the added dimension!

PaulH, Not just to have the last word here   but I have to tell you I am loving this!  I participated very little with Sag Harbor because I was intimidated and overwhelmed.  But I am (sometimes) feeling the fear and posting anyway with TPBODD!!!  The welcoming responses from others make that easier to do.  Tho I must say I sometimes feel like an ant among giants.

The video presentation is a very nice touch to connect the reader and author. We can postulate that a first time author would draw greatly from personalities and issues which are close to home or familiar to them. The video gives us some insite into this, reenforcing our conjecture that the Ms. Howe has a personal connection to the story.

Thank you for posting this video.  It's great to see the author walking around in Marblehead and pointing out parts of these old houses.  It makes the book even more alive. It's particularly cool to have seen it before she logs on next week.
