Re: Thanks to Sarah, Amy, and the group!

The Postmistress was a good read. Thanks for joining us at the First Look.

The one thing that sticks out in my mind, is the introductory letter from Amy Einhorn.

It really set the tone of the book for me.

Thanks, pen21

I echo Rachel-K's thanks to all and also want to give a shout out to B & N for making this book club possible.  I really appreciate all that goes into choosing the books, sending them to us at no charge, and having such wonderful moderator's who so skillfully choose points of discussion.

Hoping we all meet again for the next selection.

Re: Thanks to Sarah, Amy, and the group!

Sarah, loved your book and thanks for the time you took out of your schedule to "talk" to us.  Wish you much success with The Postmistress.

Thanks Paul and Rachel, as always you were right on top of things and provided excellent questions to kick off discussion.

Finally, Thanks to all First Lookers who participated with their input and ideas.  To coin a phrase the only bad idea is the one that isn't presented, it's great that we can have a discussion with respect and openmindedness to all.

Hope to see you all again in December.

Hi Everyone,

I'd like to take this opportunity to say that First Look came up with another great read.  Sarah has a wonderful way of writing and I was completely drawn into the story right from the beginning.  Thank You Sarah, and Amy for such a great novel.

I'd also like to thank Rachel and Paul for their parts in moderating such a lively discussion.  You two are beyond compare.  Thanks to everyone for the lively discussion.  I'm sure that we will be seeing a lot of Sarah Blake in the future.

Re: Thanks to Sarah, Amy, and the group!

Little point in repeating what many of you have said so well, but I will, in short form -- many thanks are due to Sarah Blake, her editor, B&N and its staff, our moderators Rachel and Paul, and all the participants for making this an interesting and most pleasant month around The Postmistress. I enjoyed the book and will recommend it to friends.  Pepper

Re: Thanks to Sarah, Amy, and the group!

What a treasured gift we are given, to have a chance to read a wonderful new book - ahead of publication! - to be able to interact with the author and publisher, and to have this open forum to share our thoughts with other avid readers.

Heartfelt thanks to Sarah and Amy, and to our thoughtful and provoking moderators,  and to all the readers, those who struggled with,  and those who fell in love with this book, and even everyone on the fence.  Sharing our thoughts and feelings about books, as with so many things, makes us all richer.
