Re: Welcome and Introductions

I'm Brittany, a mother of two young daughters, living in Colorado. The first First Look book club I participated in was for Lauren Groff's 'Monsters of Templeton'. Lauren Groff is now one of my favorite authors. (I highly recommend her, especially if you are a fan of Alice Hoffman). I'm looking forward to discussing The Postmistress--hopefully I did everything right and get a copy!

Confirmed! From Western MA where it feels like fall. I am still waiting for summer to begin. This summer has been too wet and cool for my taste here in the north east.

Hi, I am Teresa and I live in Northern VA.  This will be my 7th First Look book.  I was thinking of taking a break, but after reading about The Postmistress, I couldn't pass this one up!  :smileyvery-happy:  As usual, I am looking forward to discussing this book with the group.  I'm glad to see  familiar names from previous First Look discussions.

Also, I received my confirmation email today!

Asking for help again....:smileytongue:

How do I add a signature or quote at the end of my post?

Hi Bettymac :smileyhappy:  To add a signature, click on "My Profile" then select "Personal Profile" then "Personal Information." There is a box for you to type in your signature and anything else you want to load when you post. There are lots of things you can edit in "My Profile." I hope this helps. :smileywink:

Re: Welcome and Introductions

Welcome to the group, BSC! The books will be shipped later this month. There are two ways to do the reading. One is to read by the schedule that will be posted later in the month. I read this was so I can hypothesize about what is going to happen. But, others read the entire book, then discuss it. If you choose this way, you need to be careful about spoilers (pieces of information that are beyond the reading). Either way you choose to read is fine and you will find readers of both types here.  :smileyhappy:

Re: Welcome and Introductions

Hi!  I'm Amanda and I've been in all first books except for one.  I'm looking forward to what seems to be a complicated plot in this upcoming FL.

I have my bookclub here tonight - we are reviewing The Time Traveler's Wife, which I ruined for myself by seeing the movie last week.

Looking forward to discussing The Postmistress with everyone!

Cheers,

Amanda

I've just started reading The Time Traveler's Wife, Amanda.  Then I'll see the movie with friends that have also read the book.  I've heard good and terrible comments about both so I can't wait to check out both.

Re: Welcome and Introductions

Confirmed! That was such a lovely thing to see this afternoon when I logged on to B&N.

I'm Tina and this will be by 4th First Look.  Wow times flies.  My favorite was Of Bees and Mist but I've enjoyed every book that I've had the opportunity to read.  Right now I'm a stay at home mom in Pittsburgh, PA and spend most of my days with my energetic three year old daughter.
