Will there be an "I Got a First Look" badge for The Wake of Forgiveness?

There might be. I'll certainly post it here first if we do build it.

This is a great review and I whole heartedly agree with them.  This book was marvelous!  I felt bad for Bruce on some of the reviews he got here on The First Look group.  I felt many were very unfair.

If you are a hardcore Harlequin Romance book reader, then this isn't your cup of tea and that should not reflect on Bruce.

This book was very well written and such an interesting story.  Glad that I had the opportunity to particpate.  I have been telling all the people I meet that love to read, all about this book and how they must get it!

One more thing!

I think this story would make a great movie.  The theme song needs to be:  "Beg, Steal or Borrow," by Ray Lamontagne.  Every time I hear that song, I think of this book and how well they relate to each other.

Lisa, so true and I absolutely loved Wake of Forgiveness and I also love a good harlequin romance, but then my tastes run all over the genres.

Take care

Debbie, My taste run all over the place too.  I just love to read about different things.  But, some only like a certain type of book and then they participate in an event such as the First Look Club and they are disappointed because it is totally out of the box for them.  It is simply not fair to the authors.

I have seen it time and again on a few of the First Look's.  This book was MARVELOUS!  Bruce did a fantastic job on it.  I read so many comments from others how the story was too harsh for them.  Well, that was the times and these things were happening.  Bruce portrayed that very realistically in his book.  I was WOW'd by his book.  Can't stop thinking about it.

Lisa, thanks for your comment I'm sure the authors love to hear that and you are very correct and that's why the description of the FL offer is posted. It's a shame that so many people simply get it for the free book, but then there are also those who would have never chosen the read for themselves and find out they really like it. The authors have to have very thick skins to be an author in the first place, can you imagine having to read some "expert" review on your baby and have it shredded, I can't. So I think they can take the lumps people here at FL give out and I think they use that as a meter of what to expect once the novel gets published too.
