Hi - thanks for the sympathy - I try to find the humor in it all. I am going to St. Xavier University in Chicago. It is a Catholic university - I taught at a Catholic school for 14 years. I have looked at others and taken a few classes from Grand Canyon University and Kaplan. I thought they were both ok, but St. X is an actual brick and mortar school where the profs teach the online courses. I am looking forward to that. I found researching to help - what are looking at going in to, that can make a huge difference.

I'm in MI also. I live in Warren, just north of Detroit. What part of the glove are you in?

Pepper from NJ stepping in to say that she was delighted to receive The Wake of Forgiveness this (okay, yesterday) afternoon. Couldn't resist a sneak peak.
Am looking forward to the reading and the discussion.
In way of introduction, which I don't believe I have done here yet, have had a good summer with some time in a favorite state, Vermont. Managed to take in a Mozart series concert (of Chopin!), a local production of "The Spelling Bee," the toll road drive to the top of Mount Mansfield, a couple of used bookstores, and a few more pleasant diversions in those Green Mountains.
Vermont is indeed a beautiful state. I've been leaf peeping in the fall and skiing in the winter but have not had the pleasure of visiting in the summer. Actually one of the places we did some skiing was Mount Mansfield. Right now in Florida it's in the mid 90s. A little cooler climate sounds great right now. I'm sure you had a great time.

I am Beverly from Greenville, North Carolina. Greenville is home to East Carolina University. I am married. We have two children...a daughter age 17 and a son age 11. I am a nurse practitioner. I LOVE to read.
I am very excited about being part of this first look review on The Wake of Forgiveness. I have always been an avid reader, and I think participation in a book club enhances the experience. It is really special to be part of the group that "previews" the book.

There was a knock at the front door today. Since I wasn't expecting anything, I thought it might be the book. It wasn't the brown truck but the white one. Dell sent the other part of the new power cord they gave for free because of a BIOS update. I have no idea why they didn't ship them in the same package.
