It seems we have more than just our love for NOLA in common...I too read and enjoyed Wench, as well as the Nora Roberts "bride quartet" series (plan to download the latest onto my laptop).
Have you read The Help? I am reading it now and it is really good. I think you might enjoy it as well.

I can't wait to read this book -- I read all 9 Sookie's consecutively when I bought them last year. I'm not sure if you know this or not, but this book is one on the May discussions. I'm still hemming and hawing about whether or not to buy the ebook, but I'm sure I'll have it by the end of the week.

Let me start off by saying Welcome to this new FL! I am an avid reader who has bookshelves full of hardcovers and paperbacks. However, when the nook came out I couldn't think of anything else. My husband bought me one for Christmas and I immediately purchased the Jonathan Adler cover for it. Because the cover is protective and opens just like a book spine, reading the nook feels just like reading a "real" book! I go through fits and bursts when reading, but I've read far more books in a 3 month period than I ever have before, because it's just so easy to start a new book after finishing one when you've got them all at your fingertips digitally. If you've been seriously considering a nook, I'd say bite the bullet and make the purchase (but also buy a cover -- it's worth the cost) -- you won't regret it.
P.S. - ever since I got my nook I've been bugging Paul as to when there will be a digital FL. I finally got my wish!

You may get many replies to this, but the nook is extremely easy to navigate. You can turn pages (in reading mode, not in the Library) by swiping the LCD screen or using the back or foward buttons that appear on each side of the device. You can sort books alphabetically by author or title, you can side-load books and sort the same way, and you can use the "go to" feature when you're in a book. I've never had a problem with mine and I absolutely love it. The only thing I don't like is the Look Up word feature - I thought it would be great, but it's not. And that particular feature isn't as easy to navigate, and I've stopped using it altogether.

That sounds like my experience with these books: I started reading them and watching True Blood at the same time (around the end of last summer). I had them on hold at the library, but the lines were so long for each book, that I caved and bought the first two, and after that, all the rest in quick succession. I've had this one on preorder since March, and I'm really hoping that it ships today and comes in by the weekend.
Have you read her other series? After the Sookie books, I like the Harper Connolly ones best, then the Lily Bard stories, then Aurora Teagarden.
