The "digital locker" is the eBooks library attached to your account at BN.com. You can access it at BN.com either through your My B&N page (just under your avatar and "About Me" section) or through your account page (click "My Account" at the top of the page, login with your email and password, then scroll down to the bottom of the page to the Digital Management section).
The BN eReader software will sync with your B&N ebooks library/digital locker. Once Paul has placed the eARC in your digital locker it will be available to download through the eReader program.

I'm so sorry that I won't be able to participate in this one. We only have my husband's work computer for our home computer as well and can't download anything that isn't work related for him.

Hi Debbie
BN ebook on the computer has highlighting and marking pages. It takes a few minutes to figure it out but it works.

After registering, when does the e-book appear in my e-library? I haven't seen it in mine yet.
Thank you for your help.

Trudi,
Paul will let us know when they are available - he's probably waiting until registration is closed so they know how many participants are in the group.

Carol,
Paul is replying to each registration PM in the order they arrived - watch for a new PM from Writing-Circle to know you are confirmed. After that Paul will let us know when the books are ready to be downloaded.

I have a nook and a Kindle II and even read on the BN PC reader. When I want a book signed, I buy the H/C edition. With over 10 bookshelves in our house, E-Readers are a very convenient way to carry a small bookstore with you when you travel. This is a new media and a new book club style. I like the idea and thoroughly enjoy holding my e-reader with its open like a book cover. In fact, I often fold the cover behind like a magazine just for the ease in reading. 13 magazine subscriptiosn a month, 10 book shelves 8 years of college text books in boxes, e-readers are just another alternative for enhancing my library.
Just wanted to offer an alernate view point for you -

Awww, should've spell checked my last post. I hate when I misspell something with a simple typo online.
Is there any indication on when the enrollment period ends? I first sent the e-mail to the 'Circle' with the wrong e-mail address, then when I went to my ADD (digital downloads), I had to re-sign in and noticed DOD - I had a different e-mail address associated so I had to re-submit with the right, write right one!
Ok, that one was on purpose....

I absolutely love my Nook, but I will always and forever have my paper copies, too! The Nook just gives me more flexibility! Looking forward to reading this one!

Hi John,
Enrollment closes when we are out of eARCs to distribute, so the double enrollment will be weeded out "by hand" I think.
To those waiting for your PM confirmations: Remember that it does generally take a number of days to hear back.

If you see that you misspelled in a post or want to change the post, you can correct it for up to an hour or so(not sure on exact time). When you are looking at your post, in the upper right corner of your post, there is an option button. Click on the little arrow by the word option and you will see Edit Reply. Click on Edit Reply, the original post will be shown and you can change your post.

There has been a great deal of discussion related to e-books and nooks versus physical books. I've always loved my books and I have an extensive library. I carry a book with me everywhere and have my nose in a book every opportunity. My purse is so heavy as a result of carrying a heavy book all the time. I swore I'd never have an e-reader. That said, I think if publishers offered an e-book WITH a physical book purchase I'd jump on an e-reader purchase. A nook would lighten my load for sure. I'll never replace my books and I can't see buying e-books at the prices they are or replicating the books I'm reading for that matter. Its quite a dilemma.
I suppose I'm not the customer they're after.

Thanks for the help ![]()

Tally-wa,
Paul will let us know when the eARCs are available for download, probably in a few weeks.
