Three Seconds is intelligent, gripping, and brutal.
About the Authors
Award-winning journalist Anders Roslund and ex-criminal Börge Hellström are Sweden's most acclaimed fiction duo. Their unique ability to combine inside knowledge of the brutal reality of criminal life with searing social criticism in complex, intelligent plots has put them at the forefront of modern Scandinavian crime writing.

Once again, a great choice. Love the variety of the First Look Selections...

This book is within my realm of interest. I love crime novels and have completed the trilogy created by that other Swedish Author. I can't wait to read 3 seconds.

The wind has died down. So normal fall temperatures are back and the sun is even out at times. This book will be here in time for the snow.

This looks different from anything we've done in the past. It's VERY timely for me. I'm not sleeping well due to being 8 months pregnant, so when I wake up, instead of being annoyed and frustrated, I'll been keen to read what looks to be a page turner.
In addition, the first half of the discussion will be just before the baby, the second half after the baby which will give me adult conversation as I lie in bed with a very non-communicative bundle!!
Yay for me.

Hi everyone . . .
This sounds intriguing enough. I have to admit the books I would never have considered previously are the ones that seem to float onto the top here on the book club list.
How do you pick such interesting reads? I love the cover of the book, so there could have been some, even though brief, thought that I could have picked it up and said (while in B&N) I like the look and feel of this read . . hummm m m m m
As I am sitting in the B&N in beautiful historic "colonial" town where history began . . .
hope to read this with everyone

This isn't normally a book I would pick up, either, but it sounds great! I'm always open to reading new titles and genre's. I love the diversity of all the First Look picks. ![]()
