Re: Community Room

HI everyone!

Here I sit on vacation in B&N in a real "colonial" homeland drinking Lemonade and commenting on the VIXEN discussion board and checking out my potential 3rd FL people postings.  I was wondering around the floor when I decided to peruse the current selection section and to really see what the hype about "crescendo" was about.  That was when I noticed that you can see a streaming video trailer by scanning the book with your camera phone!  Wow- neat concept.

The book has a color coded box and you scan it & then a movie trailer about the book plays.

Tell me how neat is that????

So then what do I do?  go all around the bookstore seeing if this is a common thing and I am just now getting up to speed here?  NO I couldn't find anymore.  But nevertheless really neat idea.

May have to read the book now.......

Re: Community Room

"Crescendo" was very good, TroyJ. If you are going to read it, I suggest you read "Hush, Hush" first so you get the story. I can't wait for the next installment.  :smileywink:

Re: Community Room

DSaff I so agree with you I enjoyed both books, and I am also waiting for the next one to come out too. If you are like me I always want to know what is going on from the beginning. I read both of these books from the First Look Book Club; I love this book club because it gives you a chance to read authors that you might not have read. Plus you get to meet a lot of great people on this sight such as yourself.

Re: Community Room

I was just confirmed and that makes my day. I am currently reading "The Solitude of Prime Numbers" by Paolo Giordano and highly recommend it.  My favorite book this year is still "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" by Stieg Larsson and the other two in his trilogy. Great reads all of them!

I am not quite sure which is really the better-  meeting people or getting the chance to read something that you may have not picked up.  I LOVE First Look!

Re: Community Room

It's nice that we don't have to choose, don't you think? That is one of my favorite parts here.  :smileywink:

Hi Everyone,

It's nice to be looking forward to another great First Look selection.  I do love that work Confirmed.  Anyway,  I'm looking forward to another lively discussion.  This looks like it's going to be another great read.

Re: Community Room

Dstaff - - ->  thanks for the advice on Crescendo.  I will try after the semester is over so I can dedicate some time to completely getting into the book.

I just downloaded one of my favorite series writers (while browsing B&N on vacation today) I just had to come back to the resort and pop open the NOOK and download:
