Re: How to Enroll and Get Your Free Reading Copy

No, Everyone does not like to read off of a screen.  I don't have one, and prefer to hold the book in my hands.

Sorry, but I don't see an end to real books.  I enjoy my book shelves full of paper books.

I often wonder what makes the difference in rather the FL book will be a ereader or a hardcopy; perhaps it is the publisher, I can't imagine it would cost more for the ereader version.  Seems it would be better now that everyone -ok, almost all folks- have a ereader of some sort.

It it possible to receive the book as an ebook?

I don't think that e-readers are the end of paper books, but it is nice to have the option.

I think I would be careful about reading some books through FL on a nook. We did have one for The Writing Circle and the way the chapters were set up by characters, I knew to start taking notes. It's hard to bookmark places on your nook and I think enough complaints came in and B&N went back to shipping books out.

Re: How to Enroll and Get Your Free Reading Copy

I agree with you Maxcat.  I read The Writing Circle on my computer every night after being at work a whole day on my computer and didn't enjoy it.  My poor eyes!  But, I do love the FL and put up with it.

Re: How to Enroll and Get Your Free Reading Copy

I have the Nook app for my iPhone, and I love the experience of reading on a handheld device.  I would love to have some of the First Look books offered as ebooks.  At least they could give us the option, so that people who prefer "real" books or don't have a device that's convenient to read it on (reading on the computer sucks) could still get a hardcopy if they wanted.

Re: How to Enroll (ENROLLMENT IS NOW CLOSED)

Has everyone received their copy of the book? I haven't received mine yet. I got confirmed, just no book yet.

Haven't received mine yet but that's fine as it gives me more time to finish the book I'm reading now.

TO fordmg:  are you going to start reading early?  like before the holiday?

:manhappy:

my husband looked at the cover & read an excerpt and commented it looks to be a good read.

I am home for this week as I had foot surgery last Friday.  I think I will start reading on Monday.  I don't know what the schedule is yet, but 50 pages wouldn't hurt.

Take care of yourself. I'm sure 50 pages wouldn't hurt. And hopefully we will have a schedule soon.

Re: How to Enroll (ENROLLMENT IS NOW CLOSED)

With the schedule up and posted it looks like a lot of reading on this schedule, especially with the holidays loaded in the mix.

Wow!  I hope I can keep up with an exam for college in there too......

I was confirmed, but I haven't received my book yet.  Now I'll have to wait until after Thanksgiving.  Darn it!  I wanted to get a head start.  :smileywink:
