I hadn't thought much about the rest, maybe Penelope Cruz for Zofia.

The Skarsgards. Stellan as Grens and his son Alexander as Hoffman. You could even shoot two versions, one of course in Swedish, and a English language one.

Fun question! I like Kiefer Sutherland as Hoffmann, and Al Pacino as Grens (I know he doesn't look Swedish, but he is awesome as a damaged detective). I think Angelina Jolie would make a good Zofia.

Piet Hoffmann - James Franco

Zofia - either Natalie Portman or Cote de Pablo (from NCIS my first choice)

Erik Wilson - Viggo Mortensen

I'm a huge fan of the USA show White Collar so I'm going to have to go with Matt Bomer for Piet. As for Grens, either Alan Rickman or Robert Downing Jr. I am going to have to go with the majority for Zofia. I think Natalie Portman would be fantastic!
