Hi! I'm Sheryl and I live in Charlotte, NC. I love to read mystery and spy novels. I also adore historical fiction. I got a Nook not too long ago and I am grateful for it. Any way to be able to read is fine by me! Been a fan of reading since I was a kid and always brought 15 books home from the library. My favorite spot has always been a book store or a library... and I've had more than one family member steer me around book stores so that they could get their shopping done. :-)

Hi, Sheryl, welcome to the FL group. I'm from Charlotte also. I hope this book will be good and exciting!

Hi Everyone!  My name is Lerin, and I'm from North Carolina.  This is my 2nd First Look, I am currently participating in the First Look for Vixen by Jillian Larkin which I am absolutely loving!  I love the interaction and discussion with others regarding great reads, and the opportunity to discuss the book with the author and ask questions is an amazing opportunity - I feel so honored!  I look forward to beginning this book and the discussion with you all!

Hi, Lerin. Welcome to the FL group. I am from Charlotte, NC and it seems there are a few of us floating around on the boards. I am in the Vixen group also and I really love that book. I can't wait for the second Flapper book.

Re: Welcome and Introductions

Guess what?

The big, brown truck visited my home today in central NJ!

The driver very nicely put it in a spot and covered it with the door mat away from the 50 mph winds.  That driver is always so considerate with my book deliveries.  The book looks really good.

Hey calb15,

Just glancing through the book reminds me very much of The Girl w/the Dragon Tatto series and those were some of the best readings I've done in years.  I'm still doing Vixen so I'm going to wait at least until after this weekend.  The only problem is that the book keeps staring at mind.

Re: Welcome and Introductions

Hello everyone:

My name is Susan and I'm a mother of a 16 month old living in Minneapolis with my husband and two dogs.  This will be my second time participating in a first look discussion.  My first one was this spring during the very first ebook first look.  I enjoyed reading something I may not have picked up myself and also enjoyed the discussions especially since I don't have much time between working and raising a child to participate in a book club.  I love to read and when I find a great book, I'm thrilled.

It looks like others have received their books weeks ago, but mine hasn't shown up.

Do I need to do something? I got a confirm email after signing up.

Thanks. Carol

Re: Welcome and Introductions

I live in Southern NJ and just got my book yesterday.  I think most people just starting receiving their books.  I didn't hear anything else or get any other emails until it arrived via UPS.  I'm sure you'll get yours in a few days.

Re: Welcome and Introductions

Hi, Carol. The books just started arriving yesterday. The East Coast is usually first (ours came yesterday in MA) and they spread across the country from there. Yours should be on its way.  :smileywink:

Hello everyone. My name is Ivelisse. I live Jacksonville, NC but I am originally from Brooklyn, NY. I am excited to read this new book. I read all three Stieg Larrson books and must say they were the best books I have read in a long time. I became an insomniac because all I wanted to do was get to the end which was awesome by the way. Hopefully, this read will be the same.

Hi there,

I was born and raised in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.  Which section are you from?

The weather in Wisconsin is getting really chilly and snow is in the forcast in the next few days.  It is perfect weather to snuggle up and read.:smileyhappy:

Re: Welcome and Introductions

My book arrived today while my book club was meeting at my house. I thought that was ironic. I haven't had a chance to do more than take it out of the package, but I'll be checking it out closely tomorrow. I live in North Carolina. The Brown Truck is making its rounds. :smileyhappy:

Hi, Sheryl, Maxcat -- Just got back to NJ from a visit with family just north of Charlotte -- well, its a week ago already, time flies especially in November and December.

The big brown truck brought my copy of Three Seconds today -- oh, that was yesterday now!

Looking forward to the read.
