Me too!! I'm out of bookshelf room and have stacks going everywhere. I'm going to have to breakdown and buy some more shelving!

Hi! I am happy to be participating in this First Look Book Club! I am an full time working lady and a part time student. I have taken the summer off from classes and am free to read and participate in a club again!
I come to this venue through a friend who I work with. She shares her love of the written word with us all. If ever someone should be in the publishing/editing/writing business it is her. She inspires me to read more, although I am not the voracious reader that she is, I have enjoyed many of her suggested titles.
I can't wait to receive this book Under This Unbroken Sky and start reading!

Very very easily could I go into debt from buying books. I actually need to add some new bookcases to the ones I have because they're getting full. It's very sad because I just bought these a few months ago.

My husband used to think I was crazy and out of control with the books until he started reading more and "collecting." Now we both need a support group. <grin> Thank goodness for these book clubs!

I was on vacation when I was confirmed so I had to wait until I got home to find it. But it was worth the wait to know it probably was most likely waiting on me when I got there.
And I guess you know by my many posts that I am certainly not a newbie but do not have a famous title like some of the newer readers do. Oh! well, that doesn't squander my love for books at all and I still love to read and write posts also. I was present through B&N university and now through all these clubs.
If this book is anything like the last three books, boy, we have a real winner. There have been super wonderful books here on first look. Can't wait for this one either. Happy reading to us all.

I live with my boyfriend and he always asks me why I have so many books. When I come home with a new book he makes the comment that I already have some books I haven't read so why do I buy new books. My answer back is always that if I see a book I want and don't buy it I think about it for a long time afterwards and regret not getting it. I eventually want a library in my house, where I can put all my books. For now I have them in bookcases and I need new bookcases like so many other people here.
Reading for me, and I am sure for other people, is a way to escape for a little while, into another world, another time, another place, and forget about anything else going on around you. That question about "If you could bring one thing on a desert island what would it be?" I would bring my books because of those reasons.
"A house without books is like a room without windows."--Horace Mann

Hi everyone,
I'm Margot and I'm currently in southern Indiana. (I'm retired and travel all around.) I got my confirmation and I'm sure looking forward to this new book.
This is my third book with First Look. I feel very lucky to be part of this book club. Those first two books were fantastic and I expect this next one to be just as good. Somebody (Paul?) is doing a super job of picking just the right things for our group.
Welcome to the new members - Mo, Lene, Springermph - and everyone else as well. I look forward to all the chats.
