Dear Salander,
Please let me know how you like "Daughters of the Witching Hill" and "Soulless". They are both on my TBR list. I read a sample of "Soulless" on my nook and it seemed to have a very tongue in cheek king of humor.

A Fortunate Age is out of order. It was early in 2009 - can't remember the exact month but I know it wasn't December of 2009.
Thanks for providing us the list.

As I posted a day or so ago, I am now reading "The Lucky One" by Nicholas Sparks, and I just today bought a Linda Lael Miller book - "Willow" which I'm looking forward to reading but would love to be confirmed and read "Vixen" first! Remember me Paul!

I just finished these 2 books by Steig Larsson while I was on jury duty.
They were wonderful. I know I am a little behind, so many have already read them.
But I have to say they were excellent.
I have also seen the swedish movie about the first book and I loved it.
Iam taking a break before I start the third and last book.

Thanks for the list DStaff. It is interesting to see all the books that have been offered. There is one mistake that I saw. Crescendo is not a First Look book. Its a Teen Sneak Peek. Many people have gotten this confused.DSaff wrote:Amended list.

Hey all you First Lookers,
I just saw on the announcements board that the next adult First Selection selection will be announced on November 1st. Can't wait to find out what it will be.

O.K. Can you tell I didn't get much sleep last night?
What I meant to type was... The next adult First Look selection will be announced on November 1st. I'm sure you all know what I meant, but just wanted to correct it.

I've read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and have The Girl who Played with Fire, but someone told me that I shouldn't read the second one until I have the third one, because I won't want to wait. Since I like all my series books to match, I won't be getting the third one until it comes out in paperback.
The Swedish film is on pay-per-view and I want to get it, but I'm afraid that two days rental won't be enough time. What do you think?

I didn't like A Fortunate Age either, and a couple of others, not as much. But overall, I have enjoyed them, and enjoyed being a part, even if the book didn't thrill me. I keep them and will re-read them, at some point; even the ones I didn't care for.
