Hello everyone! *waves fantically*

My name is Megan and I am 19.  I am currently a student at WIU and am a sophomore.  I am majoring in Zoology and plan to be a zookeeper.  I will be participating in NaNoWriMo this year for the third time and I am very excited for it.

If anyone really wants to know something else, go ahead and send me a message!  I'm always up for new friends!

Re: Welcome and Introductions

I'm a copy editor in East Tennessee, and this is my sixth or seventh First Look book (though I still have to write my review for the last one, ahem). I love the era in which "Vixen" is set!

Re: Welcome and Introductions

Thanks StewiesMom! Yes it was a lovely perk wish the place had stuck around.

Despite my complications (silly privacy settings) I got my confirmation!! I'm so thrilled.

Re: Welcome and Introductions

Hi everyone!

I'm Gricel... this will be my second Book Club read, but my first FL. I'm terribly excited about it!

I'm a book blogger and library student from Florida, and really enjoy reading YA; plus, I've always been interested in the 20s... Vixen sounds just about perfect for me.

Looking forward to the discussion!

Gricel

Hi all!!  Welcome to all the 'newbies' and  hi again to the 'experienced' First Lookers!

I am Lisa.  I have done several FL's now and have gotten hooked on reading for review!  I live in NC and am a HS teacher.  I teach, I read, I write, and sometimes I write about reading!

Hi everyone. :smileyhappy:

I'm Amy. I just joined the Barnes & Noble community and this is my first FL. I'm very excited to participate!

I'm a mother of two and an avid reader. My husband (also a book worm) got me a Nook in August and I absolutely love it. I will read just about anything that's put in front of me.

I look forward to receiving this book and getting to know you all!

Re: Welcome and Introductions

Thanks for the positive view on the Sneaky Pie series!  I'll put them on my TBR list.  :smileyhappy:

I have read most of the Rita Mae Brown books in the Sneaky Pie series.  I found them to be really fun to read.  The animals all have different personalities.  The mysteries aren't completed, but they are fun and easy to read.  I think you would like them. :smileyvery-happy:

Re: Welcome and Introductions

Hello everyone,
My name is Jeanette and I teach high school students with Intellectual Disabilities in Ohio. This will be my First Look with Young Adult literature. I have been trying to read books that are of interest to the population of students that I teach in order to select books for them that are of high interest. I have found that I enjoy many of the books that I have read with them: Twilight saga, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants Series, Harry Potter series, The 39 Clues series..... I am always looking for new and exciting books to engage my reluctant readers. I am looking forward to meeting with all of you and reading this First Look!

Welcome to my fellow Ohioan :smileyhappy:

I live in northwest Ohio.  What part of the state are you in?

Re: Welcome and Introductions

It didn't take long to receive my confirmation but I think that's because I work nights. This is my third First Look. I had trouble with the last one, but that's because I love e-reading on my Nook and laptop so going back to paper is difficult. It wasn't the book, just the format, but this one looks really interesting, too, so I'm willing to brave a physical copy again. When I was done with the last one, The Wake of Forgiveness, my mother took it to Las Vegas with her. She's going to mail it back so my grandma's husband can read it. With this book, I'm sure my sister will want me to mail it to her in Illinois. I really enjoy YA so this should be good.

Re: Welcome and Introductions

Hello, All!

I'm Cam. I'm really looking forward to this book. I've signed up for other First Reads even though the books weren't necessarily what I'd choose for myself, but Vixen looks like something I'd pick up completely on my own. I'm really excited to read this one!

Re: Welcome and Introductions

Hi Paul, I'm beginning to get nervous about not being confirmed yet for Vixen!  This sounds like such a great read and I really want to read and discuss it!  I know you'll tell me to be patient and I'm trying but after having signed up on Monday and still waiting, my patience is going away!  I'll keep trying though!

Please consider me for this!  Thanks!
