ROFL Becke! The commentator would find a large number of Stately Homes to satirise over there
.

Choisya - this is the office building I worked in for five years when I lived in London. It's on Regent Street at Heddon Street. My office was on the fourth floor right where the building curves -- boy, does this bring back memories!

What a wonderful view you must have had - is this opposite to Liberty's?
THANKS for all the wonderful images of Xmas you have posted all over the place Becke - you have brought lots of Good Cheer to the boards
. I hope you get it back a thousandfold.

Here is a UK suburban garden displaying lights for charity. And one in the US. I love Xmas decorations and lights and would leave them up until Easter if I had my way - they so cheer up the dark winter days and nights.

Merry Christmas to you, Choisya! I am both lucky and honored to have met so many wonderful friends here! It's fun having someone to share stories of England with, too!
I did have a great view, but Liberty's was further up the street. My office was near the Heddon Street post office, a block down from Conduit Street (which leads to Bond Street). I was across from Garrard's Jewellers, by Aquascutum and Jaeger -- closer to the Piccadilly end of Regent Street.

Choisya - When I lived in England, the cities were always lit up but my neighbors didn't put up lights. Looks like things have changed!!

Oh, what fun, Kathy! Can I ask one question -- are the answers common names of flowers or their botanical latin names?
