A THING. I don't believe it is magical in itself, but it pertains to magic, and only wizards and witches have it.
1. It is only mentioned in one book.
2. We never see it; we only hear about it.
3. It is not the anti-cheating quill.
4. It was only in book 7.
5. We don't know what size it is, but I don't think we could go wrong to believe it was something small enough to
carry easily.
6. It is not alive.
7. HRH never touch it. (See #2)
8. It was most likely at Hogwarts at some time in the past.
9. Its current whereabouts is unknown.
10. We don't hear about it from students.
11. We do hear about it from adults.
12. We don't hear about it from Death Eaters.
13. I think we could say that we heard about it from a good guy.(see #27)
14. We don't hear about it from creatures.
15. We don't hear about it from ghosts.
16. It is not Merlin's pants. ![]()
17. It isn't anything else of Merlin's, either.
18. Yes, I imagine there are more than one of them, but I can't be sure.
19. I would think that there might be something in the library mentioning it.
20. No, there was no mention in the book of anyone finding mention of the object in the library.
21. Yes, this thing does exist in the Potterverse.
22. Yes, it is visible.
23. It is not a wrackspurt.
24. It is not freshwater plimpy soup.
25. It is not a gurdy root.
26. It is not a Crumple-Horned Snorkack.
27. We heard about from a woman. And as far as her being a "good guy", let me just say I'm using that loosely- she wasn't a Voldemort supporter, anyway.
28. She was not a professsor.
29. We don't hear about it from the Weasleys.
Hint 1. We learned about this thing from Rita Skeeter.
30. It is not the Quick Quotes Quill.
HINT 2. It is found in chapter 18 of Deathly Hallows.
32. It is not the book "The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore".
HINT 3. It is mentioned in that book, though.
33. It is not the note that Dumbledore wrote to Grindelwald.
HINT 4. Look again at my answer to # 19.
34. It is not Dumbledore's paper in Transfiguration Today.
HINT 5. In one of the books, Hermione went to the library to research awards given to students.
Note: We started this round on Feb 23- it is now March 6!

Alright. A non-magical thing.

A non-magical thing.
1- It is not made of wood.
2- Parts of it can be made of metal.
3- It is used daily for those who have need of it.
4- Mr. Weasley never says that he wants one.
5- If by "ownership" you mean that they possess it, then no, they do not.
EDIT: It is conceivable that they did, we are just never told about it.
6- It cannot be found in Hogwarts.
7- It is not in books 1-3.
8- It is bigger than a shoebox.
9- Muggles do own them.
10- It is not alive.

12 Is it in Books 6-7?
13 Is it in more than 1 book?
14 Do the Dursleys have one (or more)?
15 Do magical folk ever use one?

16 Is it in book 7?
17 Does Mrs. Weasley have one?
18 If it is not made of wood and parts of it can be made of metal, is the rest of it made of plastic?
